UC Davis Vet School Tuition
The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine has been a leader in veterinary medicine education since it was founded in 1972. The school is home to more than 600 students, who are enrolled in one of five different degree programs: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Master of Veterinary Public Health (MVPh), Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc), Graduate Certificate in Comparative Pathology and Laboratory Animal Medicine, or the Graduate Certificate in Selective Breeding and Genetics.
The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine offers several different tuition options depending on your situation. If you are currently a high school student looking to attend college as an undergraduate, you can apply for the UC Davis Pre-Veterinary Science Scholarship Program. This program was designed specifically for students who wish to pursue careers in veterinary medicine, but have yet to earn their undergraduate degree. The scholarship pays for all tuition and fees related to attending college at UC Davis, although there are some restrictions on how much money can be earned through outside sources such as work-study programs or part-time employment during the academic year (these funds will be considered as part of any financial aid package). If you already have an undergraduate degree from another institution, then you may qualify for one.

Where to Take Prerequisites
All prerequisite courses are based on the UC Davis undergraduate courses as listed below. Equivalent courses found at other institutions may be found in our prerequisites database, listed alphabetically by institution name. Most California public colleges are listed within the database as are a few out-of-state institutions.
Institution not listed in database?
Please submit a Prerequisite Substitution Request Form for course approval. Submit one for each of the three upper division courses.
Lower division required courses do not require approval unless the course title or sequence is not clearly reflective of the course content.
Each institution listed within the database has a document called an articulation agreement, which lists the equivalent courses offered at that university. No articulation agreements exist for statistics as we will accept ANY course in statistics (business, medical, psychology, etc.).
Applicants are responsible for ensuring they have taken the appropriate prerequisite courses necessary to be admitted to the DVM program. Use the course descriptions as stated below as a guide for what each prerequisite course should entail.
