Walla Walla University

Walla Walla University is located in the southeast corner of the state and had about 1,683 undergraduate students in 2019, according to the school’s website. Students can pursue associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in a variety of areas, including biblical languages, engineering, forensic psychology, theology, nursing, music and several pre-professional programs like physical therapy and veterinary science. To further develop students’ spiritual lives, the school offers weekly activities, such as small groups, Friday Night Vespers and prayer and worship sessions. The Chaplain’s Office is committed to helping students grow in their faith by following the school’s Spiritual Master Plan. Students may also choose to participate in any student organization, including Atlas Club, Drama Club, His Kids in Action, Missions Club, Robotics Club and Pre-Professional Club.

Northwest University

Northwest University is located in the northwest portion of Washington and offers associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs, as well as some certificate programs. Students can choose from over 70 programs in areas like ministry leadership, clinical mental health counseling, church revitalization, biology, organizational leadership, intercultural studies and children and family ministries. The university was named one of the Best Regional Universities in the West for 2018 by U.S. News & World Report and had 975 undergraduate students in 2018, per the NCES. Northwest’s Campus Ministry offers students the chance to participate in Life Groups, local and global missions and/or ministry teams like NU Worship or Choralons.

Pacific Lutheran University

About 40 miles south of Seattle, Pacific Lutheran University was named by U.S. News & World Report in 2018 as one of the Best Value Schools in the West. The school offers a variety of faith-based organizations, such as InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Ignite!, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and The Root, as well as interfaith resources and chapel services. The school had 2,836 undergraduates in 2018 (per the NCES) and has produced 100 Fulbright Scholars since 1975, according to the PLU website. Students can pursue certificate, bachelor’s, master’s and/or doctoral degree programs in areas like Chinese studies, geoscience, history, math, theatre, nursing and kinesiology. Whitworth University
