Our class would meet twice a week for roughly 4 hours at a time. These were only the classes, the instructors give you 24-hour access to the studio and student room, so it is what you put into it. They are very knowledgeable on recording techniques, both analogue and digital, mixing and mastering. They follow a curriculum and supply a textbook for the course as well as an entry-level audio interface and a copy of Protools to use outside of the studio. We learning how to record musicians or speakers and assemble the recordings in a pleasant and presentable way. We also are taught about the physics of sound, acoustics, live performances, finances and client interaction.
