The programme is designed in such a way that it builds on a solid foundation in mechanics, which is the fundamental discipline of mechanical engineering, and allows both deeper examination and broader study in the various areas of mechanical engineering. The programme is taught entirely in English. The English-language programme empowers students to work in their later professional careers at international and global level without any language barriers. It is also an

Students acquire fundamental and methodical skills in a broad range of mechanics topics. They master modern simulation tools in these fields and have a solid grounding in measurement technology which allows them to specialize in this field in the course of their later careers. Depending on their individual interests, this can mean both deeper study of mechanics as well as a broadening of the subject spectrum through topics in other areas, such as energy engineering or industrial engineering.

Admission is conditional on the successful completion of a Bachelor programme at the Faculty of Mechanical
and Process Engineering of Hochschule Dรผsseldorf โ University of Applied Sciences or a comparable Bachelor programme at another university. The final overall grade in the Bachelor examination must be at least โ2.5โ (according to German grading system) or higher. Alternatively, an equivalent grade according to the ECTS is also accepted. In addition, evidence of English language proficiency of at least Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages must be produced. Applications
Admission to the Masters programme in Mechanical Engineering is restricted. The programme starts in summer and winter semester. The application deadline is the 15th of January for summer semester of the respective year and the 15th of July for winter semester of the respective year.

Hochschule Dรผsseldorf, University of Applied Sciences (HSD for short) was founded on 1 August 1971ย by combining several renowned regional educational institutions. Today, the institution is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary range of subjects.
