Undergraduate international scholarships
Scholarship amount £1500

As an international student, you may be eligible for an undergraduate scholarship of £1500.
The scholarship will be open to you if you’re coming to the University and meet this specific criteria.
To qualify for the £1500 one-off award, you can be of any nationality providing you’re paying the overseas fee rate and are in your first year of undergraduate study with Plymouth University. You must also meet one of the following academic criteria:
- SQA HND students who achieve ABB in their graded units (or AB if their particular HND only has two graded units).
- BTEC HND students who achieve a merit profile but with two or more distinctions included in the profile.
- IB students who achieve two points more than the number stated in the conditions of the offer made.
- A level students who achieve 8 UCAS points more than the number stated in the conditions of the offer made.
Applicants who are joining Year 1 of a course with Plymouth University after having completed a UK foundation programme that is academically accepted and who have achieved 10 per cent higher overall than the percentage stated in the conditions of the offer made.

Eligibility criteria
The University automatically considers applicants who meet the qualification requirements. Please note the eligibility criteria list is not exhaustive and graduates from all non-EU countries will be considered for these scholarships. Please note your undergraduate degree must be the equivalent of a UK honours degree, as specified by UK NARIC.
Value of award: £1,500
Number of awards available: 100
Application:
None required. If you’ve applied for a masters degree programme, they’ll automatically consider you for this scholarship if your final transcript or marks sheet was submitted with your application. If you meet the criteria and are made a conditional offer of a place, they’ll inform you of the scholarship in your conditional offer letter. Once all conditions of your offer have been met and the tuition fee deposit has been paid, they’ll then confirm the scholarship award and issue your unconditional offer letter or conformation of acceptance for studies (CAS). Closing date for award:
There’s no closing date, but in order to confirm the scholarship we’ll need to receive all documents specified in your offer letter and you’ll need to have met all conditions of your offer. The sooner you send us your documentation the better, as you need to allow enough time for the visa application process in your own country (if applicable).

Please note:
you must have received a conditional offer of a place for a postgraduate taught programme commencing September 2018. You must also be holding the equivalent of a UK University upper second class undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. See terms and conditions for details. Vice Chancellor’s International Student Scholarship

Minimum eligibility criteria for consideration for award: Equivalent of a UK university first class undergraduate degree in a relevant subject.
Value of award: £5,000
Number of awards available: three

International Postgraduate Gaza Scholarships

Plymouth University is delighted to offer two scholarships to students from any university in Gaza. These scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to prospective masters students. To apply for the scholarship, you should hold an offer of a place on a masters course at Plymouth University and then complete the Gaza Scholarship form. Each scholarship will be for a fee discount of £5,000 on a masters programme at Plymouth University.
Sporting Excellence Scholarships
Scholarship amount up to £2,000

Scholarship award criteria
The Sporting Excellence Scholarship Programme enables themto award up to £2,000 per year depending upon your level and frequency of competition and achievements.
Plymouth University students studying a full-time degree level course may apply if competing at a high national and/or international level.
The level of financial support will be determined by a short-listing panel based on information and evidence provided in written applications.
Students must re-apply annually.
