The Master of Education program is a 30-credit advanced-degree program that focuses on theory and pedagogy. Within each specialization, you will develop skills and knowledge that deepen an educator’s understanding of the field. Whether you are a K-12 educator or a higher education professional, we have a program that will help build toward your future.

Students are offered areas of specialization in a number of distinct fields. The flexible curriculum allows students to tailor their coursework to explore their interests and to build interdisciplinary knowledge. We are committed to training highly professional educators to meet the needs of diverse learners in a variety of contexts.

We’ve Lowered Our Tuition for Education Students.

Starting in fall 2019, Drew’s teacher education programs will be just $800 per credit. Additionally, 92% of our students qualify for scholarships or other financial assistance, including a special Educator Scholarship.

This International Education (Distance learning) degree offered at the University of Leicester will:

• Enhance your understanding of contemporary educational issues, both national and international, with a particular emphasis on those which are of direct relevance to your professional context.
• Develop your ability to reflect on theory in the area of teaching and learning and use it as the basis for understanding and improving practice.
• Develop your ability to undertake small scale research.
• Develop your understanding of ethical principles which underpin the design, conduct and reporting of educational research

This is the only course of its kind offered by a UK University completely by distance learning. The course will be delivered using the latest online technologies.

General requirements

• 2:2 or above in a relevant subject, or equivalent.
• You will need to demonstrate a minimum of two years’ experience (not necessarily consecutive) in a professional role (paid, unpaid, voluntary) as an educator, manager, or a learning support role (or equivalent).
