1. Albany Technical College

Albany Technical College offers three associate’s degree programs in engineering technology. The civil engineering technology program allows students to select a specialization in surveying or a general track. Students can expect to complete courses in pre-calculus, algebra and physics, regardless of the engineering technology program they enroll in.

2. Augusta Technical College

Augusta Technical College, located in Augusta, has three associate’s degree programs in engineering technology. The electrical and computer engineering technology program offers specializations in computer, electrical or instrumentation and control engineering technology. The school’s nuclear engineering technology program is designed to meet the standards set by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations, and students have an opportunity to gain internship experience at Plant Vogtle. The mechanical engineering technology program features an emphasis in manufacturing and design.

3. Chattahoochee Technical College

The associate’s degree in electrical and computer engineering technology at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta offers specializations in biomedical or electronics engineering technology. The occupational courses in the program for both specializations include circuit analysis, digital systems, electronic circuits and networking systems. Students in the biomedical specialization must complete courses in anatomy, physiology, medical equipment function and operation. The electronics engineering technology specialization requires students to complete courses in computer programming and calculus. The program requires from 61-66 credits of coursework and is available at the school’s North Metro Campus.

4. University of North Georgia

University of North Georgia offers an associate’s degree programs in engineering technology. This school has transfer agreements with a few schools in the state, allowing students who complete an engineering technology program to continue their studies at the bachelor’s level. Courses in this program include calculus, introduction to engineering and physics. The program also includes a set of elective courses that students can choose from.

5. Georgia Piedmont Technical College

Students may pursue an associate’s degree in electrical and computer engineering technology at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston. This degree program requires students to complete 65 credits and includes courses like circuit analysis, networking systems, digital systems, electronic circuits and computer programming. Students may select a specialization in computer engineering technology or electronics engineering technology.

6. Savannah State University

Savannah State University has bachelor’s degree programs in civil engineering technology and electronics engineering technology. The civil engineering technology program requires students to complete 132 credit hours, which includes courses in highway and transportation engineering, surveying, civil engineering materials, fluid mechanics and construction estimating. The electronics engineering technology degree program requires 136 credit hours and covers electrical circuits, statics, digital systems, microcontrollers and computer electronics.

7. Savannah Technical College

The associate’s degree in electronics and computer engineering technology at Savannah Technical College offers students specializations in electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology or instrumentation and control engineering technology. The program requires students to complete a minimum of 61 credit hours and includes courses in circuit analysis, engineering technology and computer programming. Each specialization requires a capstone project as well.

8. Kennesaw State University

Kennesaw State University has bachelor’s degrees in civil, computer, electrical, mechanical and industrial engineering technology. Students in the civil engineering technology program may complete courses in specialized areas of the field, such as environmental, structural, geotechnical and transportation engineering technology.

9. West Georgia Technical College
