Mercer County Community College Summer Courses

To enroll in LCCC’s Summer Sessions, there are a few basic admission requirements that you need to meet. For local students, tuition is $6,150 USD, while domestic tuition is $8,556 USD for the 2022-23 academic year. In order to be eligible for admission, you must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Additionally, you may need to provide transcripts from any previous colleges or universities you have attended. It is also recommended that students have a basic understanding of computer technology in order to participate in the online courses offered during the summer sessions.

The admission process at LCCC is simple and straightforward. To begin, you can contact the Admissions office at 610-799-1575 or admissions@lccc.edu for more information on the Summer Sessions and the application process. Once you have gathered all the necessary documents and information, you can submit your application online through the college’s website. Courses and Registration

Sessions

Summer classes at Mercer offer you a convenient selection of three sessions to choose from.

Summer registration begins March 29 or at the time that your fall registration becomes available. The late registration deadline for Sessions I and III is May 25, and the late registration deadline for Session II is June 29.

Formats

In addition to multiple session offerings, Mercer offers two types of course formats to best fit your needs: in person and online. Regardless of format, most summer courses carry credit of 3-4 semester hours each, and the majority of students enroll in no more than 6-8 credit hours altogether.

In Person


Enjoy our historic Macon campus in the summer by taking classes in person. In-person courses involve students meeting in the classroom 3-5 days per week. If you plan to take classes on campus this summer and need to sign up for campus housing, visit the Housing page in MyMercer. If you have questions about on-campus housing, contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life for additional information.

Online

Our wide selection of online summer courses, sometimes referred to as distance learning, give you the flexibility to complete your coursework from a location that’s convenient for you. Online courses are offered through Mercer’s course management system, Canvas, and any additional tools at the professor’s discretion.
