Monroe County Mobility Manager
Contractor: Home Repair & Modification Programs
MONROE COUNTY MOBILITY MANAGER
Buckeye Hills Regional Council is currently seeking a full-time, non-exempt Mobility Manager for the Monroe County service area. This position will establish and administer a Mobility Management Program that focuses on improving the awareness, coordination, and delivery of transit services for residents of Monroe County. This position is grant-funded through a project with the Ohio Department of Transportation. Continuation of this position is contingent upon the successful receipt of future grant funding.
The purpose of this position is to provide the following services to communities, citizens, and partners in Monroe County.
Identify and catalog all public transportation providers and assets serving residents of Monroe County, including services for individuals with disabilities, older adults, and low-income individuals.
Assess, identify, and document gaps in public transportation services, including any unmet or unanticipated transportation needs.
Develop strategies and recommendations to address the identified and documented public transportation needs.
Facilitate and coordinate stakeholder meetings to communicate strategies and activities to address identified public transportation needs and gaps.
Develop a program of outreach to individuals with disabilities, older adults, low-income, and other populations that suffer from social isolation exacerbated by challenges accessing transportation assets.
Cultivate community awareness and support for available transportation resources and programming.
Actively participate on councils and committees as directed, including the Buckeye Hills Regional Council – Regional Transportation Planning Organization committee, Monroe County Transportation Advisory Committee, and others as identified.
Identify additional funding resources that may support the goals of enhanced coordination and efficiency of public transportation resources.
Record, track, and report transportation-related data as required and directed.
Attend meetings, conferences, and events representing Buckeye Hills Regional Council and project partners as directed.
Maintain relationships with local program managers, stakeholders, ODOT, and other identified partners.
Education/Experience Required: A Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Public Administration/Public Affairs, or a related field is preferred. An Associate’s degree with applicable work experience will be considered. A high school diploma is required.
Starting Salary: $40,000
Fingerprinting, background check, pre-employment drug testing, and valid driver’s license required for hire.

CONTRACTORS NEEDED FOR HOME REPAIR & MODIFICATION PROGRAMS
Buckeye Hills Regional Council is seeking contractors who are interested in bidding on projects including minor home repairs, emergency home repairs, and accessibility modification.
Throughout the year contractors typically have the opportunity to bid on home repair and handicap accessible projects that are necessary to help moderate to low income homeowners live safely within their homes. Projects are located throughout the eight-county region served by Buckeye Hills, which includes, Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, Perry, and Washington counties.
Buckeye Hills Regional Council can also assist interested contractors with Lead-Safe certified renovator certification to comply with EPA lead renovation, repair, and painting rules.
