School Description
Niagara College also known as The Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public community college of applied Arts and Technology located in the Niagara region, Ontario, Canada. Niagara College offers over 100 diploma and graduate certificate programs, apprenticeship training programs, and bachelor’s degree programs.
Niagara College was established in the year 1967 in response to the province-wide initiative to create higher education institutes of applied arts and technology within Ontario college system. Niagara College started its second branch campus named “Niagara-on-the-Lake” in the year 1998.
Today Niagara College enrolls more than 9,000 full-time students across its two main campuses viz; Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Niagara College’s international student body includes more than 500 students representing about 60 countries from around the world. Niagara College employs 291 faculty, 89 administration staff and 224 support staff and has graduated more than 50,000 students. Niagara College students can participate in many of its intramural or varsity sports, clubs, student centres, volunteer opportunities and more on campus.
