Transcript Requests
Students who have completed coursework at Upper Iowa University may obtain an official transcript upon written request to the Registrarโs Office.
Before making your request, please note:
- Official transcripts cannot be issued if there is an unpaid balance on your University account. Visit the Student Accounts page for information on paying your balance.
- Refunds cannot be issued for transcript processing fees.
- Official transcripts provided directly to you will be stamped issued to student and become unofficial if you open the envelope before providing it to your intended recipient.

What is an electronic transcript?
An electronic transcript is a secure PDF document, which is meant to be accessed electronically. Your recipient will receive an email with instructions to access the transcript. Electronic transcripts are sent via our partnership with the National Student Clearinghouse.
Are electronic transcripts official?
Electronic transcripts are generally considered official when sent directly to your recipient. You should confirm with your recipient that they will accept electronic transcripts.
Am I able to request an electronic transcript if I attended before 1991?
Electronic transcripts are available for anyone who attended UIU in 1991 or later. If you attended UIU before 1991, you will need to request a mailed transcript because older format transcripts are not compatible with the electronic transcript system.
I prefer not to complete my request online. How else can I submit it?
You may send a signed request via mail, email, or fax to request a paper copy of your transcript. However, if you want to order an electronic transcript, you must use the Transcript Ordering Center.
How do I make a request via mail, email, or fax?

- Submit the form using one of the following options:
- Option 1: Mail your completed and signed request along with the processing fee to Upper Iowa University, SEC Transcript Processing, P.O. Box 1857, Fayette, IA 52142
- Option 2: Scan your signed request and email it to transcripts@uiu.edu or fax it to 563-425-5287. Visit UIUโs eMarket site and click Transcripts to pay the processing fee.
Upper Iowa University Scholarships
Fayette Campus
We offer renewable merit scholarships that range from $8,500 to $18,500 to incoming freshman at the Fayette campus.
Students must maintain the academic standards specified. The freshman scholarships are renewable for 5 years, while the transfer scholarships are renewable for 3. Although some scholarships and grants are not based upon financial need, the amount of an award would be reduced only to comply with state or federal requirements.
In addition, the University awards more than $100,000 each year to its current students who are selected by the UIU Honors and Awards Committee.

Academic Scholarships for Transfer Students
Alexander Scholarship (Renewable) | $13,000 | for students with a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 3.5 or above |
Mott Scholarship (Renewable) | $11,000 | for students with a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 3.0 or above |
Albright Scholarship (Renewable) | $8,500 | for students with a minimum cumulative transfer GPA 2.0 โ 2.99 |
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship | (10) $1,000 | scholarships for students with a minimum 3.5 cumulative transfer GPA and 30 completed credit hours (at the time of application). Students must be members of Phi Theta Kappa, verified by providing a copy of PTK membership to the UIU Admissions Office. |
Upper Iowa University accepts up to 78 semester hours of credit from a two-year institution and 90 credit hours from a four-year institution.

Financial Support for STEM Students
General Renewable Scholarships
- Alumni Scholarships are available to sons and/or daughters of previous graduates of Upper Iowa University. Students must be enrolled full-time students during the fall and/or spring semester to qualify for this grant. This grant will apply to all children, including adopted or legal stepchildren and will not exclude those children who are independent of the family due to marriage or age.
- Upper Iowa University Grants are made available to students who show strong academic promise, are capable of doing satisfactory college-level work, and have demonstrated financial need. The amount of remaining financial need will determine the amount of the award. To be eligible, students must gain admission to the University as regular, full-time students and apply for financial assistance.
