Allegany College of Maryland is a community college located in Cumberland, Maryland. - The accelerated BSN program takes two years, which means you can earn your BSN in as little as four semesters of full-time study.
- Classes are year-round and clinical learning experiences are scheduled throughout the week during evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Prerequisites include: English Composition I & II (with minimum grade of C), College Algebra (with minimum grade of C) or Math 101 โ Intermediate Algebra, Biology I with lab and Anatomy & Physiology I with lab; A&P II w/ lab; Microbiology w/ lab or online equivalent courses approved by ACM Nursing Advisor).
The BSN curriculum also includes nursing courses that are completed in clinical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and community agencies. Students in this program will learn to assess patients for signs of illness or injury and provide appropriate treatment.
Accelerated BSN Program
If you’re looking for a more accelerated nursing program, we have an option for you. The Accelerated BSN program is a 15-month online program that allows students to complete the first two years of their bachelor’s degree in just 15 months while they work or study part time.
- Full-time summer semester only (June – August)
- Students must be full-time during the summer semester and may not attend on campus courses at another college during this time.
- Does not include clinical rotations but does include additional courses.
ATTENTION: Due to the nature of this program, we are unable to accommodate all applicants who apply each year. If accepted into this program, we will provide priority registration if there are openings available prior to account creation and/or admissions processing begins for Fall 2019 semester. All other times throughout each year are subject availability as well as course prerequisites being met prior admission for both Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 semesters

- North Campus – North campus is located off Centreville Road adjacent to the North Campus housing complex which houses over 500 students each year on a first come basis starting around mid-March through early May every year for around six weeks until all available spaces are filled with incoming students as well as transferring students who stay at this site throughout their entire stay at ACM until graduation day when they move back into their own homes (if applicable).
