SNU ISP Faculty
More than anything, our focus is to bring the highest quality of education that meets the Seoul National University standards and prestige. SNU ISP faculty is comprised of dedicated team, mostly of SNU professors and selected distinguished visiting professors. Our professors are the top experts in their respective fields, distinguished themselves in both academics as well as professional careers outside of the university setting which enable them to bring new and fresh insights to the course.
2021 SNU Online ISP Course Offerings

- All courses are held online.
- All courses are taught in English.
- All courses are open to both SNU and international students.
- All courses carry 3 Korean credits (at least 45 lecture hours).
- Unless otherwise stated, courses are for current undergraduates, but depending on the academic backgrounds and study purpose, undergraduate students may take graduate courses, and vice versa.
- Unless otherwise stated, courses are graded on an A-F scale (letter grades).
- Course dates will vary by instructor within the program dates (22 June – 2 August).
- The list of courses and course contents are subject to change, and any changes will be immediately updated on the Notice Board.
- Courses with less than 15 students enrolled will be cancelled.
What is new about Online ISP?
- • In consideration of demands and feedback from past students, 9 elective courses were specially designed for ISP, mainly for undergraduate students from all levels. All courses will be taught by SNU’s full-time faculty. These 9 courses are prioritized to international students (overseas university students), who can register for courses (first-come, first-served) immediately after completing application.Highly recommended to:
– international students who are majoring in or interested in Korean/Asian Studies
– SNU freshmen and international students
– Anyone interested in learning about Korea and Asia with students from different backgrounds - • For the first time in its history, SNU ISP will offer 13 regular major courses that are normally part of SNU’s regular semester curriculum. These courses give major credits to SNU students that count towards the major completion requirement. Courses will be organized directly by each college and school by late April, and a full list of regular majors will be updated by early May (yellow-colored rows). Courses will range throughout disciplines and levels, and will be taught by academically rigorous international scholars. Registration for these courses will be open to SNU and international students in mid-May (first-come, first-served).Highly recommended to:
– SNU students who are interested in taking courses from internationally renowned professors from overseas universities
– international students who wish to study virtually with SNU students
