Why did I choose the UB?
I chose the University of Barcelona because we were already old friends from the bachelor’s degree. I graduated as an educator, that’s how I started by university journey. The UB helped me understand the link between yesterday, today and tomorrow. I have discovered an institution that works to rediscover itself, that searches for value to accumulate. As in this postmodern society, sometimes successfully, sometimes unsuccessfully. At the moment I’m taking the master’s degree in Citizenship and Values Education, a master’s degree that keeps me connected to the study of thought and culture. In my case, I think the UB has helped me to carry on cultivating this approach. An approach that identifies me and that is understood from a human, comprehensive, transforming perspective. Admission to university master’s degrees
To be admitted to a university master’s degree, students must hold an official university degree and complete pre-enrolment, which is part of the selection process.
If a student holds a foreign university degree, he/she should consult the page Admission with foreign qualifications to find out about the specific admission requirements.
Each master’s degree has a specific admission procedure determined by the UB (*). This procedure includes specific criteria, criteria of merit and, in certain cases, specific previous education.
The admission criteria are described in the section ‘Course offerings’ on the University master’s degrees pages and on the specific webpage for each course.
In all cases, successful admission depends on the evaluation criteria established by the University and by the directors of the course.
Pre-enrolment
Students must complete pre-enrolment as part of the selection process for their chosen university master’s degree course. This is done by filling in a form. Each course has a specific form, which can be found in the section ‘Course offerings’ in the pages grouped at University master’s degree courses. Forms are available during pre-enrolment periods and contain information on pre-enrolment selection and evaluation criteria, pre-enrolment and enrolment deadlines, and the name of the coordinator, his/her email address and contact phone number.
* In accordance with the provisions established in Article 17 of Royal Decree 1393/29 October 2007, students may be admitted to a master’s degree course if they meet the specific requirements and evaluation criteria. The University determines the admission requirements, which may include specific previous academic study, depending on the subject area of the course in question.
