Seneca College Programs For International Students
English Language Institute
As an international student, you have the option of learning English at Seneca’s English Language Institute (ELI) before starting your professional program. There are eight (8) levels in the ELI that are seven (7) weeks in length each. There are six (6) start dates per year: January, March, May, July, September and November.
Conditional Offer upon completing ELI
If you apply to a professional program and you do not meet Seneca’s English requirements, you may receive an Offer of Admission to your program that is conditional upon completion of the English Language Institute.
Your package will include two offer letters with a start date and level for the ELI, and a conditional start date for your professional program.
We will use your English test score to place you in the most appropriate ELI level. If you do not have an English score, you will take a placement test when you arrive on campus.
If you receive an offer to the English Language Institute with a conditional professional offer, you may submit both offers in support of your application for a study permit in Canada.
Not all programs are eligible for a conditional offer after completion of ELI. We cannot hold seats for programs that are highly competitive or oversubscribed.Programs not eligible for a conditional offer.
