Fanshawe is number one in Ontario for graduate employment

Survey results indicate 90.3 per cent of Fanshawe alumni find jobs within six months of graduating, exceeding the provincial average of all Ontario colleges by more than four per cent.

With a student satisfaction rate of 77.8 per cent, the results also indicate the College is providing exceptional on campus experiences to students, exceeding the provincial average of 75.7 per cent.

“We are very proud of this year’s survey results,” said Fanshawe President Peter Devlin. “They are a testament to the hard work of our faculty and staff who prepare our students for careers upon graduation.”

The College also exceeded the provincial average and led all large colleges in Ontario in the following categories:

  • When surveyed six months after graduation, 81.2 per cent of Fanshawe alumni report being pleased with their college education;
  • Fanshawe’s overall graduation rate of 69.5 per cent is two per cent above the provincial average of 67.2 per cent. The graduation rates for three- and four- year programs also ranked first among large colleges.

Fanshawe College Campus

Located in the “Forest City” of London Ontario, Fanshawe College is the sixth-largest public college in Canada. The college is spread around its 5 additional campuses:

  • London Campus: Sprawled over 100 acres of land, the campus comprises 11 college buildings where 21,000 students are currently enrolled in a full-time program. The highlight of Fanshaw College’s main campus is that is it also the home to Centre of Applied Transportation Technology (CATT), the Centre for Digital and Performance Arts (CDPA), and the Fanshawe aviation Centre.
  • London Downtown Campus: Known to be London’s art, cultural, and digital media hub, the Downtown campus is the home to the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Information Technology and Tourism, and School of Digital and Performing Arts. 
  • London South Campus: As Fanshawe’s newest campus, it offers five graduate certificate courses at FanshaweThe programs are known to provide students with experimental learning and skill.
  • St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus: Home to 1000 part-time and 300 full-time students, the campus offers diplomas, certificates, career and employment services, and training programs.
  • Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus & Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus: Offers full-time courses in Hair Stylist, Air Conditioning Technicians, Heating, and Police Foundations, etc.

Fanshawe College Accommodation

Fanshawe College Courses are offered to its international applicants and also ensures their stay in Canada is facilitated to its best. The on-campus accommodation is available in two options to the applicants: traditional residence suites and townhouse units. It has about 400 townhouse units and 1,200 apartment-style residence rooms.

  • Traditional Residence Suites: It is located at the London Campus and is spread in three residences named Falcon House, Peregrine Hous,e and Merlin House.
  • Townhouse units: It has 66 townhouse units with 6 beds each, that come fully-furnished with nonsmoking units.

Off-campus: Aspirants who want to stay near the campus but not take on-campus accommodation can find their own place on rent by exploring Fanshawe College’s online rental listings and using its off-campus housing services.

Additionally, employers who hire Fanshawe graduates are satisfied with the skills and contributions of graduates who work for them, reporting a satisfaction rate of 85.8 per cent.

International fees

Fees are subject to change. The College will make every effort to provide students with as much advance notice as possible when the College fees change.

* Transit Bus Pass Fee

Starting in the Fall 2021, the Transit Bus Pass Fee is billed as an annual fee and charged once in the Academic year. Students starting in 2021 Fall will be invoiced $268.70 for the full year of coverage (September 2021 to August 2022). Students starting in the Winter will be invoiced $179.13 for coverage (January 2022 to August 2022). Students starting in the Summer term will be charged $89.56 for coverage (May 2022 to August 2022).

* Health Insurance

Starting in the Fall of 2020, Health Insurance is billed on an annual basis. Students starting in 2020 Fall will be invoiced $835.98 for the full year of coverage (September 2020 to August 2021). Students starting in the Winter will be invoiced $789.11 for coverage (January 2021 to August 2021). Students starting in the Summer term will be charged $571.32 for coverage (May 2021 to August 2021).

Ancillary Fee Exceptions

The following ancillary fees are excluded and not charged to students in programs that are delivered Online and at an Area Campus located outside of London.

The General Expenses column is a total of the Books, Expendable Supplies, Uniforms & Minor Equipment, Field Trips & Local Transportation, Major Equipment, Professional Association Exam Fees, Other and Optional Expenses.
