Montgomery County Community College
Montgomery County Community College (MCCC orMontco) is a publiccommunity college in Blue Bell in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. MCCC also has two satellite locations, Pottstown Campus and Culinary Arts Institute in Lansdale. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.[3]Forbes ranked MCCC as one of Pennsylvania’s top employers in 2019.
History
The College was founded in 1964 and offered classes from its campus in Conshohocken. In 1972, the school relocated to its current location in Blue Bell.

Blue Bell Campus
Located on 186, lush acres, the Blue Bell Campus provides a classic college setting, convenient location, cutting edge facilities and a top-notch education for its students.
Pottstown Campus
The Pottstown campus includes the North Hall, a 50,000-square-foot (4,600 m2) facility with classrooms, a computer lab and an art gallery. The building was formerly a knitting mill, brewery, and shoe polish factory until its renovation in 2006. It is connected to South Hall by an underpass that had been filled in since the early 1920s.
Municipal Police Academy
Located in Blue Bell, the Municipal Police Academy is a licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Culinary Arts Institute of Montgomery County Community College
Located in Towamencin Township, the Culinary Arts Institute opened in 2013.
MCPS SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAMS 2021
MCPS is offering a wide range of summer programs for elementary, middle and high school students. Registration is now closed, with the exception of Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) (Title I Schools only) and high school semester “B” courses that students are currently enrolled and may need to repeat. Some in-person programs at local schools may have availability based on enrollment and staffing, or are maintaining rolling registration based on available capacity and staffing.

ACES Summer Programs
Mission Possible
Mission Possible is a summer program for rising ACES juniors that equips students with the resources and skills to plan and prepare for college. This fun and engaging experience allows our Scholars and ACES Coaches to get to know each other, while setting students up for college success. By completing Mission Possible, our Scholars will learn:
- College exploration skills
- Fundamental financial literacy
- Effective writing techniques for their college and scholarship essays
This year, Mission Possible 2021 will be a hybrid model of live Zoom sessions and self-paced modules. Our live sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Tuesday, June 29 – College Selection | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 6 – Navigating College Exploration Tools | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 13 – Financing College | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, August 19 – Intro to the ACES Pathway Experience | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, August 20 – ACES Student Perspective Panel | 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
To register, Scholars should complete the Class of 2023 Intake Form found in their ACES Google Classroom, or in their ACES Welcome Letter. Students can also reach out to their high school ACES Coach for more information.
Make Your Move
The ACES Make Your Move program is an initiative created to enhance the engagement, and retention of ACES Scholars attending Montgomery College. Our mission is to empower students through academic skill building, access to resources, team building, self-awareness, and the development of habits needed to compete in today’s college environment and beyond.
The Make Your Move program takes place in the summer between an ACES student’s senior year in high school and freshman year at Montgomery College. The program includes various workshops, guest speakers, and team-building activities that acclimate students to Montgomery College and prepare them for academic success.
This year, Make Your Move will be delivered virtually on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A Welcome to ACES @ MC Orientation for ACES parents and families will be held on the same day at 6:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

Fall 2021 Credit Classes
Many fall classes are fully online, but classes that focus on hands-on skills and learning experiences will meet on campus. Most lab sections are scheduled on-campus for the fall semester. Some lecture and discussion sections that meet before or after a lab section are also scheduled on campus.
Please review your schedule carefully!
- Classes that meet on campus are marked with a campus building and room number in the course schedule.
- Some sections also have a section note that the lab will meet on campus.
- Each part (section) of a course has a unique CRN (course reference number). Check the location for each CRN for which you register.
- If you have selected back-to-back classes and some are REMOTE and some are on campus, you will be provided information about where you should go on campus to attend your remote class.
