Latest positive review:

UKC is a great uni for first time moving out, especially first time moving ever. The campus is not an intimidating size and is easy to find things (besides for the Rutherford and Elliot buildings). I felt the Uni was the perfect size because it wasn’t so big that there’s an overwhelming amount of stuff going on, and you’re able to make connections a bit easier, but it also…

Latest critical review:

Didn’t learn a thing; 1/2 of the class couldn’t speak English; can’t believe they’re allowed to charge people for this. Studying part time I felt very much like I wasn’t part of the university, but that’s specific to my situation.Read more reviewsWhy are student reviews important?

University has brought me very good memories and has allowed me to meet some amazing people from various walks of life which I am grateful for. However, I feel my time at the University of Kent hasn’t been the best especially in my 3rd and final year of study. The head of my department of study (Music) did not support students throughout this vital year, left assignments unmarked for months and was not responding to any of the concerns expressed by students which had a massive effect on the performance of students.

The overall experience had been a positive one, the classes and lectures have been interesting and well taught and although there has been struggles with covid, we have still managed to get in person contact hours and time on the course. The facilities are good for the most part, nothing major to complain about, and there have been society opportunities. Overall I am very happy with my first year experience.

This academic year has been remote learning so the experience has been lacking (not uni’s fault!) but the city is amazing, great pubs/clubs etc, and the campus has all the facilities you could need.

The quality of teaching and support on my course is great. There is excellent flexibility, and the staff take into consideration the commitments you have beyond studying. The staff in DaLL are friendly and really care about supporting the progress of their students.
