  • environmental impact assessment
  • information technology
  • manufacturing
  • marine engineering/ship design
  • product design (medical and commercial)
  • research and development

A lot of students get caught up in the rankings of their schools, and for good reason: they’re a great way to see which schools are doing well and which need some work. But it’s important to remember that rankings aren’t always accurate—they change every year based on different criteria, so even if your school ranked high one year, it might not do as well the next time around.

And while we’re more than happy to give you all the information you want about our college’s rankings (check them out here), we think you should also consider how much value an expensive private school will add to your education versus a less expensive public university or community college.

That’s why we like to tell students about other options besides going straight from high school into college or trade school. We think it’s great when students take time off from school so they can figure out what kind of career path would be best for them before jumping into higher education.
