Financial Aid at USC

USC administers one of the largest financial aid programs in the country. In conjunction with the role studentsโ€™ families play in financing college education, USC has a long tradition of coordinating school, state and federal funds to fully meet the USC-determined need for undergraduates who satisfy all eligibility requirements and meet all deadlines. Tuition & Funding - USC Viterbi | Prospective Students

USC offers several scholarships to help undergraduate students pay for their education. These funds come from a variety of university, federal, state, and private sources but unlike loans, they do not have to be repaid.

Generally, scholarships are reserved for students with special qualifications, such as academic, athletic, or artistic talent. Awards are also available for students who are interested in particular fields of study, are members of underrepresented groups, or live in certain areas of the country.

USC Merit Scholarships

Administered through the Office of Admission, USC Merit Scholarships require students to apply for admission to the university by the December 1 deadline. All students who submit a complete application will be automatically considered for a scholarship. Ranging in value from a few thousand dollars up to full tuition, merit scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, leadership, service and talent. These include the full-tuition, four-year Trustee scholarship, the half-tuition Presidential Scholarship, and the one-quarter tuition Deans Scholarship.

Other USC Scholarships

Some USC scholarships are administered by organizations outside the Office of Admission. These generally require a separate application, have varying deadlines and eligibility requirements and may or may not require an interview.
