Fordham Law School Scholarships
FORDHAM LAW LLM FEERICK, TREANOR, AND MARTIN SCHOLARSHIPS
Fordham Law LLM Feerick, Treanor, and Martin Scholarships
We are pleased to announce three new scholarships, named in honor of former Fordham Law School deans who contributed enormously to the development of our LLM programs. These are the John D. Feerick Scholarship, the William Michael Treanor Scholarship, and the Michael M. Martin Scholarship.
Recipients will be awarded a scholarship equal to 100% of the LLM tuition. Recipients will be responsible for student fees, transportation to and from New York, local transportation, books, housing, and all other expenses associated with their studies at Fordham Law School. These three scholarships will be awarded to exceptional applicants to the full-time on campus program who are found to possess character traits embodied by one or more of these great leaders.
The John D. Feerick Scholarship
John D. Feerick, Norris Professor of Law, served as Dean of Fordham Law School from 1982 to 2002. Dean Feerick is also the Founder and Senior Counsel of the Feerick Center for Social Justice. It was under his leadership that the LLM program was established at Fordham Law School. When the Master of Laws program was launched in 1989, the Law School offered the degree in Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law and International Business and Trade Law. By 2002, the LLM program had grown exponentially.

The William Michael Treanor Scholarship
William Michael Treanor served as Dean of Fordham Law School from 2002 to 2010. Under Dean Treanor’s leadership, the LLM program continued to grow, adding concentrations in International Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law, International Law and Justice, and U.S. and Comparative Law. The Law School’s S.J.D. program was also launched during Dean Treanor’s tenure.
The Michael M. Martin Scholarship
Michael M. Martin, Distinguished Professor of Law, served as Interim Dean from 2010 to 2011, and Dean from 2011 to 2015. Presiding over the move into Fordham Law’s state-of-the-art new building, Dean Martin also oversaw the addition of two new concentrations to the LLM program in Corporate Compliance and Fashion Law, as well as the Law School’s M.S.L. programs.
