| Language requirements | English In order to take the MSc courses, students must have an adequate knowledge of the English language, at minimum B2 level, as established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Students can demonstrate the required knowledge level either through an approved international certification (see the list) of international certifications recognized by the University of Siena), or by passing a B2 level exam at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA). After enrolment in Siena, students having an international certification must present it to the CLA office. The CLA is located in Piazza San Francesco 7, Siena (more details can be found in the related website). For students who are obliged to pass the B2 exam, the University of Siena offers B2 level courses. Dates of the exams and timetables of the courses are reported in the CLA website. Overview
The MSc in Engineering Management provides high-level competences for modeling, optimization, decision making and management of organizations. The study programme is focused on industrial economics and marketing, planning of innovation processes and project management. The course also provides fundamentals of mathematical modeling, data and decision analysis and optimization of complex systems.
Objectives
This is a 2-year graduate programme taught entirely in English, attended by both national and international students.
In order to be admitted to this course of studies students must possess background in mathematics, statistics and physics, equivalent to the one achieved in first-level (B.A.) engineering degrees; basics principles of economics, management and programming.

The University of Siena annually publishes the regulations for student fees.
Students enrolled in first cycle, second cycle and long single cycle degree programmes pay annual fees in one or several installments (up to a maximum of four).
The amount of tuition fees is based on both the student’s family income, as declared in the ISEE certification, and on merit (number of credits achieved within August 10th of each year).
The ISEE values for the calculation of contribution range from a minimum of € 16.000,00 up to a maximum of € 90.000,00 in order to properly consider the real economic conditions of the family. For ISEE less than € 16.000,00 no contribution is expected.
