ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR M.A. PROGRAMMES
Applicants should possess:
- A good Bachelor’s degree with Education component (e.g. B.Ed.), from the University of Education, Winneba or its equivalent from a recognized University in the relevant field of study, or
- a good Bachelor’s Degree without Education e.g. (B.A, BSc) from an accredited University in the relevant field of study.
- Applicants with good first degrees from any field of study can apply for M.A. Human Rights, Conflict and Peace Studies and M.A. Communication & Media Studies programmes.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR M.ED PROGRAMMES
Applicants must:
- Possess a good first degree (at least 2nd Class Lower Division) from the University of Education, Winneba or other Universities recognised by the Academic Board of the University of Education, Winneba or from any institution accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission of Ghana in the relevant field.
- Applicants with a good second class honours (second class lower or better) degree in other disciplines other than Education are required to obtain a Diploma in Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or its equivalence before applying.
- Applicants with third (3rd) class honours or pass in their respective first degrees with or without education component would be required to pass an interview and an entrance examination.
INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
- A baccalaureate with GPA not below 3.0 from an accredited 4-year higher education in Counselling Psychology or related field of study (e.g. Psychology, Guidance & Counselling, Social Work, and Nursing).
- Demonstration of English competencies from an institution that conducted instruction in English or an equivalent score of 86 and above in TOEFL or at least a 6.5 in IELTS.
- Computer literacy demonstrated by ease of use of Microsoft office and google application software.
- Applicants must pass a digital interview to obtain admission.

The University of Education Winneba, UEW School Fees Schedule for 2020/2021 Academic Session has been released and available here.
This is to inform all the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Sandwich, Distance students of the University of Education Winneba (UEW) that the management of the institution has released the school fees structure for the 2020/2021 academic year.
The UEW School Fees is payable by newly admitted and continuing students. The new fees policy as stated below on schoolgh.com takes effects from 2020/2021 session for resident and non-resident respectively.

The University of Education Winneba (UEW) school fees can be paid online or via bank payment.
Note:
- All students of the University of Education, Winneba are required to pay their fees through TRANSFLOW at any branch of the banks indicated against their respective campuses.
- When paying, students should inform the Bank Teller that they are using the TRANSFLOW to pay the University of Education, Winneba fees.
- Students who fail to pay all fees cannot register. Continuing students are advised to visit their portals in the OSIS to know their full fees.
- Students are advised to abide by these payment arrangements so as to avoid any problems that might be related to non-compliance.
