Undergraduate Scholarships at University of Basel

1. Swiss-European Mobility Program (SEMP) for undergraduate students

  • Scholarship Amount: Fully-funded
  • Eligibility Criteria: Applicants enrolled in an undergraduate program at a recognized higher education institution (HEI) are welcome to apply. Applicants must have good academic and disciplinary records from the recognized higher education institution.

The SEMP offers a fully-funded study visit for international students at Swiss Institutions such as the University of Basel. It aims to strengthen the interdisciplinary and intercultural rapport between Swiss and European institutions by offering fully-funded study visits. During the duration of the SEMP, the courses taken by the student may be credited on the student’s curriculum or as part of the student’s internship program.

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship is open to foreign researchers who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Switzerland. Through this, the Swiss government aims to promote international relations and research cooperation with other nationalities. The research scholarship is available to applicants who must have already completed their master’s degree, while those wanting to pursue arts may hold only an undergraduate diploma. 2. Ph.D. Scholarship

International students taking their Ph.D. at the University of Zurich may apply for the Ph.D. Scholarship, which can cover their full tuition for up to 36 months.
