Admission Requirements
This is a Limited Entry Program. Therefore, an application for admission must be submitted by the application deadline and all prerequisite requirements must be completed by the completion deadline in order to be eligible for consideration. This material is reviewed using selection criteria set by the program. Applicants are notified of their standing by the Limited Entry office.
NOTE: Students who have taken the TEAS exam from another state and/or institution must have all their scores officially transferred to CSN before their specified application deadline. An unofficial copy must also be presented with their limited entry application packet.

Program Description
The BSDH Degree Completion program is offered 100% online to better enable working professionals a more flexible opportunity to continue their educational goal of a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Students can choose a specialization in either Public Health or Education. Both tracks include core coursework in research, leadership, teaching methodology, and public health principles. In addition to dental hygiene core courses, students complete upperdivision general education course work in Educational Psychology, Philosophy, Communication, and English.
Being a student in the College of Southern Nevada Bachelor ofScience in Dental Hygiene Completion Program indicates a dedication to the dental hygiene profession and the desire to acquire additional knowledge and responsibilities. Students are expected to represent the profession and institution with the utmost ethical behavior. Inherent in upper-division coursework, students are expected to utilize exceptional critical thinking skills, exhibit problem-based learning, and evidence-based decision-making. In exhibiting these attributes, the student will further their professional capabilities and advance the profession. The BSDH program makes heavy demands upon students in regards to self-determination and time management. Due to the online nature of the program, students must comply with a very stringent academic integrity policy.

The Bachelor of Science Program allows registered dental hygienists the opportunity to pursue an advanced degree on a part-time or full-time basis given their individual needs, previous education and experience. - College of Southern Nevada (CSN). This school offers an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene as well as two bachelor’s degrees in the field. The Dental Hygienist is the licensed prevention specialist in the dental health team, providing health education, administering local anesthesia, removing deposits and stains from teeth, exposing x-rays, and applying topical fluoride. The curriculum is demanding, requiring a high degree of individual motivation, stamina, and manual dexterity. Graduates will be eligible to take the written national Board and clinical State or Regional Boards in order to become licensed.
