University Centre Askham Bryan

Askham Bryan College is one of the largest land-based colleges in the UK. University Centre Askham Bryan (UCAB) is ideal for those looking to study an industry-relevant qualification. Foundation, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees are available.

The college has a strong reputation for its high-quality education. Students are supported in their progression into further study, training, or professional employment. Subject areas cover agriculture, animal management, canine and feline management, wildlife and conservation, zoo and wildlife, veterinary nursing, equine studies, sports, horticulture and arboriculture, and forestry.

Solihull College & University Centre

Solihull College & University Centre is based in the Birmingham suburb of Solihull and offers courses from post-school age (16yrs) up to degree level.

To provide accreditation for its courses, the college works in partnership with several universities, including Oxford Brookes, Newman, Coventry and Northampton universities. It also offers HNCs and HNDs through Pearson.

The college has two campuses; Blossomfield Campus near Solihull town centre, and Woodlands Campus in north Solihull.

The college was awarded a Gold rating from the Teaching Excellence Framework for its university level provision before its merger with Stratford-upon-Avon College in 2018. It was the only college in the West Midlands to achieve this, beating various Russell Group universities.

Glyndwr University, Wrexham

Wrexham Glyndwr University can be found just five minutes from the centre of the largest town in northern Wales, Wrexham. The university offers its students lovely historical buildings, including grade-II listed structures, which it carefully combines with a wide variety of modern and well-equipped facilities to meet every student’s needs.

Wrexham Glyndwr hosts a robust array of services for students, whether it’s accommodation, student support, or other amenities. The university also hosts an additional campus in the Northop area – this rural campus offers specialties in subjects such as animal science and environmental subjects.

The university recently launched its £60m Campus 2025 estates project to significantly update and modernise its campuses. The strategy includes plans to remodel and redevelop its’ sites into contemporary and attractive learning environments for the 21^st century.

Wrexham Glyndwr University has recently received a Silver rating from the Teaching Excellence Framework (2017) for the quality of its teaching.
