“To describe my experience at UAGC, I first have to start in 2019 when the school was known as Ashford University. I was only 19 and didn’t know much about college, I was truly only interested in the proper accreditation as well as getting my degree in a timely manner. The five week classes are truly unbeatable. This is one feature about UAGC that stands out and makes it a good deal. Being that I doubled up my credits, I was able to get done in about half of the time. That being said, the things you hear about advisors and the schools issues are somewhat true. Keeping an eye out on your degree progress is super important because classes can be dropped, or credits can appear and disappear over night. This can be very frustrating, for example, with only 16 credits left for my BA I was suddenly showing 1 unscheduled credit that had never appeared before. I contacted advisors, and apparenty my military credits all of a sudden were missing ONE credit. I took a sophia class, (80$), and was able to fix it quickly. But being so close to graduation and all of a sudden having a missing credit was frustrating, both mentally, emotionally and financially. This is just one issue that has happened with scheduling, classes drop and get rescheduled all of the time and most times students are not given warning. This has been my biggest issue, as well as certain advisors being unhelpful or having attitude. Being military I did not use my own money for this degree. This was why I didn’t mind any financial issues, this might be a bigger issue for someone who pays for there own college. That being said, it is an easy way to get a bachelors degree after obtaining your CCAF and after you get your bachelors degree you can always transfer to another school for your masters because UAGC is accredited. With a good GPA, you’ll be able to transfer. I am looking at the MBA program at UAGC now, it is IACBE accredited and I can complete it in one year. Again, I won’t be paying for it and the classes are only 6 weeks long so I could of course have a different experience. But the accredited programs, as well as my 6-7 years work experience, I will be prepared for the civilian world. I would just do your research on all of the programs and see which are accredited by the proper institutions. This is important, and a new college student may not know this. The healthcare admin degree is accredited as a whole with the school, but not by specific healthcare admin accrediting agencies. While the MBA is accredited with the school, as well as IACBE. Everyones experience is different, but overall I would rate this school as not bad. I have also only done online school.”Kathy

“This program is not appropriate to receive teacher certification in Missouri. It is a total waste of time and money if one plans to teach in Missouri. I contacted the Missouri Department of Elementry and Secondary Education and now understand that the degree they provide will not advance one toward teacher certification.”Jan `

“Do not come here, I only had nine classes left to complete my bachelor’s degree. Instead of letting me finish the 9 classes I need. I had to take other classes. Now my account has been place on hold because I can no longer use financial aid to cover my courses. I felt like I was taken advantage of. My advisor would send me emails but would never respond to my email. Instead of completing my degree within I was removed from the school.”Hong Xiu

“University of Arizona Global is Ashford under a new name. It is a scam school, for profit (restructured to hide this). They market to military and low income. The degree is garbage. You cannot get a job with Arizona Global University you will be laughed at. The credits won’t transfer to a real university. It is a diploma mill and again (for profit) do not let the new name and shady accounting fool you. It is Ashford. The most shadey fake school in America.”Chris Barnhill

“They transitioned from Ashford University to The University of Arizona “global campus”, and had no idea what they’re doing. I had a “hold” and they didn’t know why. I ended up failing a course because I couldn’t log into my class to submit my final paper which was 30% of my overall grade. A “D” in college is an F so I got to redo my course and pay for it. It’s a total sham and student services is no help and has no idea what’s going on. If I could go back I’d tell myself this place is not worth it. Keep looking, or invest your money somewhere else. Because going back to school at 40 yrs old and having to go through all that BS is for kids that don’t have a life an family to provide for. Paying an extra $1800 for no reason, it’s so maddening.”lavon Rosenbaum

“I have enjoyed attending Ashford’s online campus. I enrolled for my B.S. in Early Childhood Education in 2017 and graduated 10/2020. After graduating and the experience I had at Ashford, I decided to re-enroll for my M.A. in Special Education, and so far, I am happy I did. I will be graduating with my master’s on 8/21. After attending Ashford, I feel very confident in seeking a new career in education. All of my professors were excellent and very helpful throughout my entire education—outstanding online school. Be prepared to work hard and do your part with your teacher’s support and all the resources they have to offer; you will succeed. I would highly recommend the school to my friends and family.”sean n

“This school is a bit different from a traditional classrom. Professors will not hold your hand. It is a lot of self study, self direction and self motivation. And reading, reading, reading. If this is not your style of learning, then enroll somewhere else. I personally am almost done with my Masters and I got a lot out of it. The curriculum and reading covered a broad base of knowledge.”Jamie Campa

“I chose this school because it was 100% paid for by the company I work for and it took exactly 23 months for me to graduate. Below are a few things to consider: -Advisors will not hold your hand and walk you through the start of each class. If you reach out they are definitely helpful and respond quickly. -The work is easy as long as you put in the time and effort. One class every fives weeks expect roughly 10-15 hours a week of homework/ dedication. -Professor assistance if 50/50. Some go out of their way to help and others say call IT or use your tutoring resources. I asked for clarification on an assignment and one professor copied and pasted the original requirements with out further explanation. -If you are independent and don’t care to engage with other students or professors and simply looking to get the work done and get it done well than the school is a good fit. – During COVID professors were understanding if you reached out and just let them know your struggling emotionally/ mentally and they are more than willing to accommodate.”
