The University of Arizona is a public, 4-year school located in Tucson, AZ. The school was founded in 1885 as the first university in the Arizona Territory and includes Banner University Medical Center Tucson which administers a separate 4-year MD program. The 380 acre campus features a blend of traditional brick and contemporary architecture with a southwestern touch. The campus is arrayed in blocks and boasts a long quad leading to Old Main building. The campus was also featured in such films as โRevenge of the Nerdsโ and โEating Out.โ Among many notable alumni are Childrenโs Television Workshop creator Joan Ganz Cooney and singer Linda Ronstadt.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

STUDENT LIFE
There are over 33,300 undergraduate students enrolled in the University of Arizona, many of whom live on campus among the almost two dozen residence halls, suites and living communities. The University sponsors over 500 clubs and student organizations, including club sports and intramurals. For the varsity athlete, the UA red and Arizona blue Wildcats, led by Wilbur and Wilma, field teams in 12 sports and participate in NCAA Division I competition. A strong rivalry exists between UA and Arizona State University, culminating with the football โDuel in the Desertโ for the Territorial Cup โ the oldest rivalry trophy in the country. The annual calendar also features a Spring Fling โ the largest student-run carnival in the nation. Also, the bell from the USS Arizona is rung monthly to honor the achievements of the school and its community. Students understand and agree to abide by the Code of Academic Integrity which states โIntegrity and ethical behavior are expected of every student in all academic work. This Academic Integrity principle stands for honesty in all class work, and ethical conduct in all labs and clinical assignments.โ
