Audio Production Technologies

The Audio Production Technology program offers a unique combination of musical and technical training, plus the opportunity to become proficient with a broad range of musically useful technologies while building a firm foundation in the musical arts. It prepares students for a variety of careers in:

The program offers students an opportunity to receive training on industry-standard equipment by instructors with decades of real-world experience and professional resumes. Students learn the concepts and theory associated with recording arts technologies while applying them in lab settings appropriate to their skill levels.

Studio Recording courses cover audio systems theory, analog and digital electronics, live recording and sound reinforcement, multi-track studio recording/processing/mixing, and digital audio workstations. State-of-the-art facilities for the program include a 16-station computer lab and Studios A and B (and their control rooms) for recording, mixing, and ADR work.

Students completing the degree in Audio Production Technologies program will gain the knowledge base, competency, and confidence they need to enter the commercial music marketplace.

Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences (CRAS) is a top audio recording and sound engineering school in the Phoenix metro area, with campuses in Gilbert and Tempe AZ.
