The Avalon University School of Medicine (AUSOM) Residency Match is a process that matches you with your preferred residency in a specialty you have researched, selected and ranked. You will only be matched to those programs you have listed on your Rank Order List (ROL). If you are matched with a program, this means that AUSOM has requested that the program accept one of its residents for residency training. The Match uses an algorithm called the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) algorithm to match applicants with programs based upon their preferences and those programs’ needs in order to fill the positions available at each institution.
