Azusa Public University Application Deadlines

Azusa Public University International Student Admissions

The International Student and Services Center of the university deals with and assists international applicants and the international admission process for students aspiring to study in the USA . The university only accepts official transcripts in an envelope sealed by the former institution bearing the official seal of the college or university.

Regular admission generally requires a cumulative 3.0 (83-86%) grade-point average on the posted degree. Applicants must provide contact information for a character recommendation at the time of application. International transcripts must be translated into English, validated by a government official, and include the degree listed on the application. Regardless of their English proficiency exam score, students must enroll in TESL 500 during their first term at the university. Students have the option to demonstrate English competency at the first class session. If students meet the proficiency requirement, they can skip the class.

The university provides international students an I-20/DS 2019 form after getting an acceptance letter and financial sufficiency proof. Afterward, students are required to complete some steps to apply for a study visa to the USA once they receive the required form from the International Center.

After the International Center receives all academic transcripts of the applicants, the evaluation process begins. The applied or concerned department committee reviews the applicant’s file. Within four weeks, the applicants get notified of the committee’s decision. UG Applicants should apply before February 15 for the fall semester to assure priority consideration both, for admission and scholarships.
