is birmingham school of law accredited

Birmingham School of Law may not be accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA), but its graduates are still eligible to sit for the Alabama bar exam.

The school was founded in 1872 and is currently located at 610 20th Street North in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to offering a full-time Juris Doctor degree program, the school also offers a part-time evening program as well as online courses.

The school’s website states that it is not accredited by the ABA because “[t]he ABA does not accredit law schools.” However, graduates from non-ABA accredited institutions may qualify for admission to practice law in Alabama if they have received their undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and have passed all parts of the Bar Examination.
