An innovative curriculum

A Bryant, education develops highly marketable real-world skills through group projects, practicum experiences, social entrepreneurship, academic competitions, business simulations and more.

Students’ learning experience go far beyond the textbook and the status quo.

Here students study both business and the arts and sciences — meaning they’ll major in one and minor in the other. Students learn how to innovate — and collaborate — to solve problems, and gain real experience from the very first semester. They’ll also do it in ways that span industries and cultures, and that advance positive societal change.

Most of all, students will be inspired to excel – by their faculty who teach in new and engaging ways, and whose expertise is sought after around the globe.

An international emphasis is woven into the entire Bryant curriculum. The global message includes a wealth of study-abroad opportunities. Students can choose to study in more than 50 countries for a semester overseas. The school also offers an innovative semester-long Sophomore International Experience course that culminates in a 10-day trip abroad.

Proven success

The Bryant experience prepares world-ready graduates. The impressive outcomes and return on investment its students receive highlight the success that’s possible with a Bryant degree: 99 percent of the Class of 2017 graduates were employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation. The median starting salary for Bryant’s Class of 2017 was $59,000.

Outstanding faculty, with many options for study

Learn from world-class experts, researchers and scholars. Bryant’s faculty meets the highest of standards – 84% hold Ph.D.s or have a terminal degree in their field. They’re committed to teaching in the school’s student-centered environment. Even outside of class, they serve as mentors and coaches.

The classes are small; there are no large lecture halls, and professors – not teaching assistants or graduate students – teach 100% of classes. Students have more than 300 major/minor combinations to choose from, including basics like accounting, biology, and psychology to contemporary programs like data science, social entrepreneurship, and international business.

Purposeful campus life

Bryant, located in Smithfield, Rhode Island, has a beautiful 435-acre, secure campus just 15 minutes from downtown Providence, one hour from Boston, and three hours from New York City.

The Bryant community is close-knit and friendly: 76% of Bryant’s students live on campus. With 22 varsity sports teams, Division I spirit inspires the community to come together throughout the school year.

The campus life is as energetic and diverse as its student body. Students build meaningful connections,confidence, and leadership skills through more than 100 clubs and student groups, including fraternities and sororities, academic organizations, and intellectual, recreational teams, and programming that supports diversity and inclusion.

Academic Life

The student-faculty ratio at Bryant University is 13:1, and the school has 24.1 percent of its classes with fewer than 20 students. The most popular majors at Bryant University include: Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Mathematics and Statistics; Social Sciences; Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs; and Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. The average freshman retention rate, an indicator of student satisfaction, is 89 percent.

Student Life

Bryant University has a total undergraduate enrollment of 3,462, with a gender distribution of 60 percent male students and 40 percent female students. At this school, 80 percent of the students live in college-owned, -operated or -affiliated housing and 20 percent of students live off campus. In sports, Bryant University is part of the NCAA I.

Campus Services

Bryant University offers a number of student services, including nonremedial tutoring, women’s center, placement service, health service, health insurance. Bryant University also offers campus safety and security services like 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, late night transport/escort service, 24-hour emergency telephones, lighted pathways/sidewalks, controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc.). Of the students at Bryant University, 50 percent have cars on campus. Alcohol is permitted for students of legal age at Bryant University.
