Read on to learn more about Central Michigan University Biomedical Engineering, central michigan university biology department, central michigan university biology faculty, central michigan university engineering ranking and biomedical engineering salary in michigan.
When you understand the functions of living organisms, you have the ability to know how every element of life operates within them, right down to the molecule. This allows you to design new solutions to problems related to human health and well-being. Biomedical engineering covers a broad range of topics including:
-Biomaterials -The study of materials used in medical applications such as implants, prosthetics, tissue engineering, etc.
-Biomechanics -The study of mechanical systems found in living organisms like bones or muscles; also applies to robotics and other machinery used in medical settings.
-Bioinstrumentation -Combined use of electronics with biology/chemistry for measuring biological signals (e.g., heart rate monitor).
