Nursing
Centralia College offers a highly competitive two-year RN program to prepare graduates for the licensure examination to become a licensed registered nurse.
Purpose
Students who successfully complete all six quarters of the nursing program will receive an Associate in Applied Science-Transfer degree, and be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN).
In addition to preparing students for the nursing profession, the AAS-T degree provides science and general education courses appropriate for students planning to transfer into selected four-year bachelor’s degree programs.

Students Awarded Financial Aid for Spring
To check the status of your financial aid for fall, login to your ctcLink account.
TUITION AND BALANCE CHECKS
Scholarships will begin to disburse and apply to your student account the week of March 21. This includes CC Foundation scholarships, CC athletic scholarships, and outside scholarships that have been awarded through the financial aid system. If you are unsure if your scholarship is awarded, please check your ctcLink account under the Financial Aid tile.
Financial aid that has been awarded to you will be applied to your student account beginning Wednesday, March 30.* If you have been awarded financial aid (not including work study) that exceeds your tuition/fee charges, the balance will be refunded to you as a balance check. The first batch of balance checks will be sent out Friday, April 1.* This process will continue to run on a weekly basis after. *If your financial aid was cancelled based on grades and you met the appeal deadline, you will not have funds available for the first run of disbursements and refund checks.
WorkForce Tuition (Opportunity Grant, BFET, WorkFirst, Worker Retraining) will be applied beginning Wednesday, March 30. If you are expecting Workforce funding for winter and do not see on your financial aid award, please contact Workforce Funding at 360-623-8960. You may have additional paperwork to complete.

FINANCIAL AID REINSTATEMENT / APPEALS FOR GRADES
If you need to appeal for financial aid reinstatement based on your summer quarter grades, the deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m. If you failed to meet satisfactory academic standards for financial aid, we will call and email you regarding cancellation status. It is important that you return that call asap. There is no extension to the appeal deadline. Download an appeal form (pdf). BOOKS FOR BFET, WORKFIRST, WORKER RETRAINING, AND OPPORTUNITY GRANT
Book accounts for BFET, WorkFirst, Worker Retraining, and Opportunity Grant will be available March 31-April 22. Please note all purchases must be in-store only. Web orders for these programs will not be accepted.

COMMON COURSE NUMBERING
As directed by the presidents of Washington community and technical colleges, a common course numbering system has been instituted. The goal of common course numbering (CCN) is to ease transferability of courses between and among community and technical colleges in Washington State.
There are a number of changes in course numbers and titles at Centralia College. These changes should help you recognize that a course you have taken at one Washington College is the same at another, and the course will transfer easily. All classes transfer the same as they always have, however, those that are “common” will now be assessed more easily by the receiving college.

Centralia College competes as a member of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC). The NWAC is divided into geographic regions to facilitate administration, and Centralia competes in Region V.
The Associate in Arts degree represents the broad knowledge generally acquired in the first two years of a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree.
