I have never felt such at home on a college campus as I did at Union University. I highly recommend looking at Union University to see if it fits you. The people their are very kind and welcoming. The first time I stepped foot on Union’s campus, I made a few friends!

It is truly and uncommon community, filled with so many exceptional people and professors! If you’re looking to get a great Christian education this is the place for you! Everyone here majors in their major of choice, along with Bible and Theology (so you double major), so keep that in mind before applying. You will have to take over 30 hours of Bible courses, so just a heads up is that’s not really your thing. It’s also BEAUTIFUL! We’re about 25 minutes away from downtown knox and about 35-45 from the Gatlinburg, Sevierville area. Work study jobs are available in just about any department you can think of, and my employer works really well with my school schedule. Not to mention the great dorms. You get your own bathroom, sink, and shower and one roommate. They’re super spacious too.

There is always someone there to help you with anything you need and all the professors I have had were great. I love how the Freshman get an incoming UACT teacher who helps you to maintain your college life. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

It’s as if it is a tight knit community. The classes are small, so whoever goes here never feels like just a number in the classroom. The college is linked to the Baptist Hospital, so students have opportunities to find jobs or take tours at one of the Baptist hospitals. The teaching methods are effective and hands on, so you can understand how what you learn ties in with your profession. Also, the administration is kind and try to help their students to the best of their abilities. If I could change anything, it would be class availability. Some classes are not available for students when they need it, so it can be problem for some students. It might even push them back. So, it is best ask about when classes are generally given throughout the school year verses what the generic one says (because it can be misleading).

That said, I have some friends that are already looking to transfer, but the main reasons are because of the lack of a party scene or the cost (two things that you can definitely figure out before committing). Also, when it comes to having fun, if you’re determined to have a good time, you’ll find a way. The community at Belmont feels so special and welcoming, so the first few weeks are smooth for most students. If you aren’t outgoing, you may not LOVE Belmont, but most people come out of their shells quickly. It is really a wonderful, nurturing environment. It could be much more diverse, but I have met lots of students with different perspectives on life and had great dialogues with them. I genuinely feel that my professors and friends care about my success and my well-being, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Come check it out for yourself!

I live in Bowdle OBannon and have gotten to know a lot of guys. The leadership is intentional about making sure we connect. In the Freshman Gateway class we do a lot of things to get to know other freshmen. We have socials and do service projects together. The class teaches us how to “do college.” I can say the food is really good at Lee. We have the cafeteria that offers a really good variety of options, we have a Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Chick-fil-a, etc. The chapels are really good and challenge us to follow Christ and live a life pleasing to him. Now, academics. The classes are hard, so get ready to study if you want to succeed. Know that you’re going to have to spend plenty of time outside the classroom to make the grades you want.

After doing their due diligences, my advisors trusted me enough to let me break the 18 hour maximum every semester, allowing me to graduate in 3 years and save thousands of dollars. Apparently, not everyone graduates with a contact list full of tenured professors, industry professionals, and local celebrities… I’m glad I did!

Since I first set foot on campus, I’ve been surrounded by a loving and accepting community, both by students and faculty. When my first semester began I was given enough information for extra help and other on-campus resources available to students.
Every faculty member is willing to help each student in reaching success and give the necessary advice to do so. Now there is the fact that Trevecca is a smaller campus, and will only offer certain degrees. Religious, intercultural, social justice, music, and worship studies seem to be the emphasis on campus. Speaking as a current business student, the business professors are well-experienced in what they teach. However, some aren’t as professional in teaching method and could use some improvement.
Overall, Trevecca pushes for community and I’ve certain felt part of the community on campus!

So far my experience with APSU has been great through the first and 2nd semesters, of course, we all have challenges that we must face especially when we are not used to a certain environment and honestly that was myself at first. Throughout the semester I began to see changes within my academic performance, social skills, and confidence level increase rapidly. The faculty in general have a genuine desire to develop personal relationships with the students. Along with the faculty wanting to get to know you, they also want to see you succeed. The campus is well kept and one of the safest campuses in the state. The location of the university is also amazing. You are really close to downtown Nashville and there is always something to do on campus or in that downtown area. One night you could be going to a NFL or NHL game, going to a concert, or you decide to just stay on campus and take part in something going on there. Overall choosing to attend Lipscomb University was the right decision and has opened doors for me that I never could have imagined not only academically but socially and spiritually as well.

Ever since stepping foot on campus – when I was met by my freshman Head of House and the Move Crew – I’ve been supported and welcomed. I’ve been encouraged to pursue my interests in and outside of the classroom and attended countless events.
Sometimes it feels like there are too many things to get involved in, especially with the weight of academics on our shoulders, but not everyone experiences this the same way. One of my favorite things is the identity centers like the Women’s Center, Black Cultural Center and KC Potter (LGBTQ) Center who provide students with fun and informative programming and the comforts of home. Plus, can you ever go wrong living at an arboretum?
I mean this honestly (but always a little ironically), Anchor Down!

It is definitely a small school environment. All of your professors know you and want to know you and see you succeed. The RD, Resident Directors, care for you more than you would ever think and again want nothing but for you to succeed.
This type of small school environment can either be very good for you or not so good for you, it all depends on your personality so you have to truly know yourself.
The school’s motto is “Christ Above All” and it is taken seriously here. Everywhere you look you see his presence. From chapel to church to mentoring programs to being able to sit down at pretty much any table in the cafeteria and have a good, accepting conversation with someone you can see this motto.

I started going to classes here in the fall of 2019 as a first generation freshman and some of the facilities were under renovation. Due to this and not being able to stay for the full spring 2020 semester, I was not able to have the full experience of what this school had to offer. What experience I did gather from it, it was a great time! The classes I had taught me all that I expected to learn from them and the teachers were more than willing to help a student, if they asked for some. The housing was fine for living in one of the mixed gender dorms. The food was great with plenty of variety and there are some chain restaurants set up.
