COURSE STRUCTURE

The Certified Cyber Security Professional is made up of 3 Certifications.

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is the leading provider of vendor-neutral IT certifications in the world. It is considered one of the IT industry’s top trade associations and has issued over 2 million certifications worldwide, in it’s 20 year history.

Each Certification is comprised of numerous courses. The Certification structure is outlined below.

CompTIA A+
CompTIA A+ is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles.
• Demonstrate baseline security skills for IT support professionals
• Configure device operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, Android and iOS and administer client-based as well as cloud-based (SaaS) software
• Troubleshoot and problem solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation, change management, and scripting
• Support basic IT infrastructure and networking
• Configure and support PC, mobile and IoT device hardware
• Implement basic data backup and recovery methods and apply data storage and management best practices

CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Network+ helps develop a career in IT infrastructure covering troubleshooting, configuring, and managing networks.
• Design and implement functional networks
• Configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices
• Use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks
• Identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations
• Implement network security, standards, and protocols
• Troubleshoot network problems
• Support the creation of virtualised networks

CompTIA Security+
CompTIA Security+ is a global certification that validates the baseline skills one needs to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career.
• Analyse indicators of compromise and determine the type of malware
• Compare and contrast types of attacks
• Explain threat actor types and attributes
• Explain penetration testing concepts
• Explain vulnerability scanning concepts
• Install and configure network components, both hardware and software-based, to support organisational security

Security Administrator

Cyber Security Administrator installs and manages organisation wide security systems, performs security monitoring, logs and forensic analysis, to detect security incidents, and manage security incident response. ENROLMENT

The course requires no prerequisites; even if you are brand new to IT, with the right attitude and appetite to learn, you will be able to join the course.

Course dates are set, so you will join a cohort of students who you can connect with through an online messaging platform Slack, as well as through our learning management system (LMS). We call the mode of study, start together, finish whenever, meaning that you can learn at your own pace. If you find that some weeks you have more time to devote, you can race ahead. Also, if you are busier than usual, you can take your time with your studies.

Tech Requirements

While there are no prerequisites for the course, you will need to have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a reliable internet connection.

Exams

The course includes four exams across three certifications that need to be undertaken in-person at a testing centre near you. The cost of the exams is included in the cost of the course. AIICT will provide you with exam vouchers in order to register for these exams.

The total course cost is $4,950 incl. GST.

Payment Options 

AIICT offers payment plans to support students through their financial obligations of studying. Two payment options are available: Full Fee and Payment Plan.

1. Full Fee

Pay a once-off $4,455 fee.

The Full Fee includes a 10% discount – a saving of $495.

2. Payment Plan

Pay 8 monthly payments of $618.75 for the duration of the course.
