The Alexander Scholars program seeks motivated and dedicated high school students who have demonstrated excellence within their academic journey to date. Alexander Scholars receive a full tuition scholarship in addition to automatic admission to the Master’s Program provided students graduate in four or less years and have maintained a 3.4 GPA or higher. In Fall 2021, Alexander Scholars had an average SAT score of 1540.

For Fall 2022, Florida Poly will offer merit-based out-of-state scholarships designed to reduce the domestic out-of-state tuition for high-achieving students. Scholarships range between $5,000 – $17,500 per academic year and are based on academic merit. There is no separate application. All applicants who apply by January 1st are considered on the basis of academic merit. While applicants are reviewed holistically, the average SAT is usually 1350 (31 ACT) with outstanding high school math grades.

Federal Subsidized Direct Stafford Loans are loans made to eligible undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The U.S. Department of Education will pay the interest on a Direct Subsidized Loan:

- For the first six months after you leave school (referred to as a grace period)
- During a period of deferment (a postponement of loan payments).

Parent PLUS loans are federal loans that parents of dependent undergraduate students can use to help pay for college costs. Applicants must be the biological, adoptive or, in some cases, step-parent of the dependent student. The parent who applies must not have an adverse credit history in order to borrow a PLUS loan.
PLUS loans can help pay for education expenses not covered by other financial aid. Parents may borrow up to the University’s published cost of attendance, minus any other estimated financial assistance.

Beginning with out-of-state undergraduate first-year students admitted for the 2022-23 academic year, students with grandparents residing in Florida may be eligible for a waiver of the Non-Resident (out-of-state) fee. These waivers are limited and first-come, first-served.
