History

Beijing University of Technology was founded in 1960 with five engineering departments. The first group of students was transferred from Beijing Institute of Technology and Beijing Normal University.

Campus

Beijing University of Technology is located in southeastern Beijing. The campus covers an area of about 800,000 square meters with 4,940,000 square meters of floor space.

Beijing Tech’s main library is a modern complex occupying a floor area of more than 20,000 square meters. The library houses about 700,000 printed materials, 60,000 e-books, more than 40 kinds of database resources, forming a documentation resource system that meets the demands of teaching and research. About the College of International Education

Beijing University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as“BJUT”) is one of the first universities to carry out education for international students in China. In 1990, BJUT recruited its first international student. In 2002, with approval from the Ministry of Education, BJUT set up a program named “Chinese Language and Culture” for international students. In 2005, Geraldine John Kikwasi from Tanzania received a doctoral degree in Management and became the first international student to receive a doctoral degree at BJUT. BJUT College of International Education (hereinafter referred to as “CIE”) was established in 2011, operating in the International Office of BJUT. Application Documents

1. Personal information page of passport. The passport shall have a minimum validity of one year. For applicants who are already in China, a photocopy of Visa or Residence Permit with entry customs stamps should be provided as well.

2. Master’s degree diploma. Applicants shall submit Master’s graduation certificate and degree diploma. Prospective diploma recipients shall submit a certificate of expected graduation issued by the university that will issue the diploma, and bring the official degree diploma for registration if admitted.

3. Academic transcripts of master’s degree study.

4. Language proficiency certificate.

Applicants for English-taught programs and whose native language is not English need to provide score report of English language proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet-based 80 or equivalent), or a certificate from former university proving that the previous degree is taught in English, or a certificate indicating the applicants have studied in an English-speaking country for more than one year;

Applicants for Chinese-taught programs need to provide score report of HSK level 4(≥180) or above or other Chinese language proficiency proof. Some programs require HSK 5 or above, see the program list for details.

5. A Personal Statement. No less than 1,000 words, stating your basic personal information, hobbies and expertise, motivation, study plan, etc.

6. Two academic recommendation letters from professors or associate professors with their signatures and contact information.

7. Curriculum vitae. The applicants shall submit curriculum vitae introducing your personal information, education background, work experience, research work, publications, honors, and other information, which could facilitate your application.

8. Financial statement or bank statement. The available balance should be no less than RMB45, 000.

9. Physical Examination Form. The form could be downloadedvia http://study.cqu.edu.cn/info/1062/1413.htmand shall be filled by the physicianin Chinese or English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. What’s this program about?

The Master of China-Europe Business Studies is a major in the Master of Global Management. It is a 12 month full time program, taking place inseveral European and Chinese campuses. During the final two months you will be working on a China Consulting Project in Europe and/or China, according to the project location.

The program combines academic courses with an in-depth view of all functional areas of management, seminars on EU-China relations and cross-cultural management, competence development in different business environments and team building for international consulting projects. You will be able to take on a business language course: French/Hungarian for Chinese students and Chinese for the participants from other countries. The program is taught in an interactive way. Requirements

Candidates should hold a degree that represent 4 years of full-time study at university level, resulting in a master’s degree or an equivalent bachelor’s degree (a full time, 4-year curriculum, excluding orientation or preparatory years). It is possible to apply before you have completed your studies. In this case, the selection procedure will take place under the assumption that you graduate from your present studies before starting the program. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.

Degree/Certification

After the successful completion of the joint program and the master project/thesis, you will graduate with a joint degree:

  • Master degree Master of Global Management: China-Europe Business Studies from Antwerp Management School. The Master of Global Management is an official Master degree recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Flemish Community. The program is AACSB and NVAO accredited.

Application Process

We strongly encourage early application, as we only accept a limited number of students. Moreover, applying early will give non-EU students sufficient time to arrange for visas. The deadline to apply for EU citizens is August 20, 2014 and for non-EU citizens June 30, 2014.
