The HCC Certificate Program is designed for people who want to learn what it takes to be a business owner, but do not have the time to go back to school or the money to start their own business. DEGREES & CERTIFICATES
HCC offers Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees within many areas of study. Degree programs are designed to be completed with two years of full-time study. Degrees prepare students for specific careers and/or transfer to four-year institutions. Certificate programs are designed to be completed with one year of full-time study or less. Certificates prepare students for highly specialized careers. Applied Psychology
Degree: Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts/General Studies
With mental health being at the forefront of virtually every newspaper today, it should come as no surprise that there is a great need for behavioral healthcare employees. The Applied Psychology program will prepare students with the foundations of psychology found in a traditional academic program, along with the employable skills of a healthcare professional. Students will gain skills in healthcare communication and record keeping, ethics, medical terminology, human biology, and pharmacology, while developing a strong background in the behavioral sciences in courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Personality, and Cognitive Psychology.

Architectural Design
Certificate: Certificate of Completion in Architectural Design
If you have always wanted to learn the skills you need to design interesting buildings but you’re not ready to make the commitment to an Associate Degree then this program is made for you. All of the skills ranging from free-hand drawing, architectural drafting and computer-aided design with state-of-the-art technology are included in this one-year program along with just enough general education courses to qualify you for a Certificate of Completion in Architectural Design. Degree: Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts Transfer
This two-year studio foundations program will introduce you to the technical processes and creative concepts used by artists and designers. You will engage in the artistic processes of imagining, designing, creating and sharing your artwork. The Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts Transfer Program is part of MassTransfer, a collaboration between the Commonwealth’s community colleges, state universities and the University of Massachusetts. This transfer agreement allows students to transfer seamlessly, stay on track and minimize the time it takes to earn a BA or BFA.

Biology Transfer
Degree: Associate in Science in Engineering and Science Transfer
The Biology Transfer degree gives students a solid foundation in the basics of science with an emphasis on biology. Students completing the degree will be well prepared to transfer to a four-year program in biology at a college or university.

Biomedical Equipment Technology
Degree: Associate in Science in Biomedical Engineering Technology
The Biomedical Equipment Technology (BMET) program prepares individuals for employment as Biomedical Equipment Technicians in hospitals and medical research centers. These individuals install, calibrate and maintain sophisticated medical devices and equipment used in the health care industry.

Biomedical Manufacturing Technology
Degree: Associate in Science in Biomedical Engineering Technology
Biomedical Device Manufacturing Technicians work in the areas of quality control, design, drafting, inspection, CNC and R&D in the manufacturing of biomedical related equipment and instrumentation.

Biotechnology
Degree: Associate in Science in Biotechnology
Biotechnology students develop knowledge of science while learning contemporary techniques used in both academic and industrial biotechnology labs. There are many potential career paths available to graduates in this fast-changing field. Work opportunities exist in industries as varied as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, agriculture, environmental technology, water purification and basic biological research. Coursework will prepare students for either laboratory work or to pursue a more advanced degree. The Biotechnology Certificate of Completion is a fast-track program that is specifically designed for students who wish to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain an entry-level position in the biotechnology industry.
