Begin your moment at Indiana University Bloomington as a directly admitted Kelley business student

As a Bloomington Kelley Direct Admit, you will bypass the admissions requirements current IU students must meet to be accepted into the program. This means you will start working with Kelley academic and career advisors from the first day you arrive. Direct admission is only offered to first-year students who are entering in the fall semester. Students who matriculate in the spring semester, transfer students, and students not intending to major in a Kelley business degree are not eligible for direct admission.

Here’s what you need to do to be directly admitted to the Kelley Undergraduate Program:

  1. November 1 is a very important date. If you complete the IU admission application, submit all application materials by November 1, and meet the rigorous Kelley direct admission criteria, then you will secure your spot in the fall 2021 Direct Admit class.

2. Meet GPA and test score criteria by November 1 for automatic direct admission.

3. Once you’ve decided to join Kelley, pay your $100 enrollment deposit.

Make It Happen

Select one of our Kelley undergraduate business majors as your intended major on your IU Bloomington application. If you do not indicate a Kelley business major on the application, you will not be eligible for direct admission.

For domestic students, if you did not mark one of our Kelley undergraduate business majors on your IU Bloomington application, you may make changes to your submitted application by visiting Step 3 on the IU Office of Admissions website. This change may take 7–10 business days to process. For international students, you should email bschool@indiana.edu, as you may not be able to change your major until you arrive on campus.

Apply to Indiana University, beginning August 1, the fall of your senior year of high school.

Your complete IU admission application—and all application materials—must be submitted by November 1 for maximum scholarship consideration.

To be eligible to petition for fall 2021 direct admission, you must:

  • Choose one of Kelley’s business majors on the IU Bloomington admission application.
  • Have an official IU computing account. You will be able to establish this after you complete your application to IU.
