Logan Chiropractic School Chiropractic medicine
A Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) is an alternative medicine health professional who gives particular attention to the relationship of the structural and neurological aspects of the body in health and disease. Chiropractic treatment includes spinal adjusting, manipulation, physical modalities, and rehabilitation. It is possible for students to enter many chiropractic programs after 90 credit hours of pre-professional education, though about 65% of students entering chiropractic schools have bachelor’s degrees.
Many states require students to have a bachelor’s degree to practice. The Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) provides information on application requirements, descriptions of careers in chiropractic, and programs in North America. Viterbo University has an articulation agreement with Logan College of Chiropractic and Palmer College of Chiropractic that allows you to enter those schools after 3 years at Viterbo. After successful completion of your first year, Viterbo will transfer in your credits and you will be granted an undergraduate degree from Viterbo. Logan Chiropractic School Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Official Transcripts must be provided.
- Earn a minimum of a 3.0 Cumulative GPA in your undergraduate courses.
- Completion of all pre-requisite coursework with a C or better.

Dual Degree Program Between Viterbo University and Logan University, Doctor of Chiropractic
Viterbo University is proud to partner with Logan University to offer students intending to matriculate at Logan and achieve a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), special terms of admission through Logan 3+3 Articulation Agreement and special criteria for awarding the baccalaureate degree in biology to participating students.
Dual Degree Program Doctor of Chiropractic (3+3)
The 3+3 program allows students to obtain a bachelor of science (BS) degree in biology from Viterbo and a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Logan University in less time than would be required if students separately applied to both programs. This is accomplished through “reverse transfer” of Logan University coursework to fulfill some requirements for the BS degree at Viterbo.
General requirements for 3+3 program and early admission
- Major in biology
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all courses taken at Viterbo
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on all required coursework in the 3+3 program
- Successful interview with Logan admissions personnel while enrolled at Viterbo
- Satisfy all remaining requirements outlined by the Viterbo pre-health committee and Logan University admissions
I have completed a Bachelor’s Degree
If you’ve completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 semester hours of life and/or physical science, have a cumulative GPA above 3.0 and half of your science courses including a lab, you are eligible to apply for Logan’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program.
PATH TWO
I have completed the prerequisite coursework to begin the DC program
If you’ve completed at least 90 semester hours (or 135 quarter hours), including 24 semester hours of life and/or physical science and have a cumulative GPA above a 3.0, you may apply for the DC program.
PATH THREE
My current college participates in the 3+3 Program
Save time and tuition. Through agreements with dozens of universities across the U.S., Logan University allows students to begin their undergraduate degree at a partner school, then transfer to Logan’s DC program after earning 90 semester hours of college credits with a minimum of 24 semester hours of life and/or physical science. Cumulative GPA must be greater than 3.0 with at least half of your science hours containing a lab component. On completion of your first year in the DC program, the hours transfer back to the partner school, where you will receive your bachelor’s degree. You may then continue your DC coursework at Logan.
PATH FOUR
I haven’t started a degree program, but I may have some college credit
First-time freshmen or transfers students can save time and tuition with Logan’s 3+3 option. Students admitted to our Bachelor of Science in Life Science (BSLS) are also conditionally admitted to our DC program. Credits earned during your first year in the DC program apply toward your BSLS degree, so you can complete your bachelor’s and your Doctor of Chiropractic in about six years.
PATH FIVE
I am a high school student
Logan’s Early College Credit Program (ECCP) allows qualified high school juniors and seniors to earn college credit while still in high school, giving you an early start on your college education. On completion of high school, students may apply for Logan’s BSLS program and ultimately our DC program.

I don’t fit into any of the above boxes, but I know chiropractic is the right career for me

YEAR ONE
Trimesters 1–3
During your first year, you’ll spend 40% of your time in hands-on clinical skill courses. You’ll begin your studies by obtaining an understanding of science through classes in anatomy, biochemistry and physiology. Lay the foundation for chiropractic knowledge by studying the principles of chiropractic and fundamentals of diagnostic imaging. Engage in hands-on, faculty-guided, clinical methods training to integrate classroom learning with real-world applications.
YEAR TWO
Trimesters 4–6
In year two, you’ll spend 90% of your time in hands-on clinical skill courses while building on the knowledge acquired in year one. You will strengthen your science foundation with courses in neurological disorders, applied physiology and internal disorders. You’ll also incorporate classes such as accounting and finance for health care, statistics for health care and professional ethics to ensure you’ll be practice-ready on graduation.
YEAR THREE
Trimesters 7–10
In year three, you’ll spend 100 percent of your time treating patients and learning management skills. A vast amount of your time will be spent on clinical rotations, perfecting your clinical skills. You’ll continue building your clinical understanding with advanced courses in clinical psychology and dermatology.
Assessment Center
Clinical experience for both DC and master’s degree students begins in the Assessment Center. Working with fellow students and standardized patients trained to simulate specific conditions, you’ll gain hands-on experience assessing symptoms and recommending treatments. This multidisciplinary learning environment will empower you to become more proficient in all areas of patient care as you proceed through the Logan clinic system.
