You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)

Qualifications

Depending on prior qualifications:

Entry level 1:
Duration: 2 years full-time, 4 years part-time (96 points to complete)
An Australian undergraduate degree not necessarily in IT, with at least a 60% average, or qualification deemed by the faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent.
Entry level 2:
Duration: 1.5 years full-time, 3 years part-time (72 points to complete)
An Australian undergraduate degree in a cognate discipline including computing, computer science, software engineering, computer systems, electrical, electronic or communication engineering with at least a 60% average, or qualification deemed by the faculty to be a satisfactory equivalent.

English requirements

With the proliferation of mobile and pervasive devices with network capability and the popularity and the availability of Internet, more and more users and application providers are seeking and providing services with the access and delivery paradigm of anytime and anywhere. In order to harness such rapidly changing technology, one needs to have clear understanding, knowledge and experience that transcends these technologies in order to able to design, deploy and maintain networks and application services. This course not only provides an in-depth knowledge on the principles of these technologies, but also explores issues that are faced both by the users and the application providers, and provides possible solutions. The theory is interrelated with the practice which makes this course unique. Students wishing to exit early can complete with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Cybersecurity.
