The programme uses a blended approach to teaching and learning so that employment and other demands can be better accommodated. We use a comprehensive range of face-to-face and online teaching and learning methods, each tailored to the current area of study. Student-centred learning is pivotal to our philosophy, and our teaching and support methods encourage self-development and awareness through reflection on experience. We utilize practitioners, researchers, and lecturers to deliver high-quality research-based teaching. The programme will consist of six 15-credit modules and one 30-credit dissertation, designed to be completed by a student studying part-time over two years. Face-to-face classes in Singapore will be delivered in one intensive block per module. Each block normally consists of two weekday evenings, Saturday and Sunday.

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours (Top-up) programme is taught by staff from the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care and other Faculties at King’s College London. The teaching will be delivered in a combination of classroom lectures and the King’s e-learning online platform, KEATS.

The programme will equip you with the advanced, specialist knowledge to provide the best possible care, pioneer innovation, and deliver improved outcomes for patients and their families.

Graduating students will hold a degree from the No.1 Nursing Faculty in the UK and No. 2 in the world (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020).

Ngee Ann Education Holdings (NAEH) Scholarship

For the Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours (Top-Up) programme only.Eligibility criteria

NAEH Scholarship is awarded to individuals who demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities and special talents.

  • Open to Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only.
  • Outstanding academic results:
    • Polytechnic Diploma with a Grade Point Average of ≥ 3.6.
  • Good conduct with academic and/or professional supervisors’ reference/testimonial.
  • Must not be a recipient of other scholarship / sponsorship or study award.

Terms & Conditions

  • The quantum of the Scholarship is up to $15,000 of the total programme fees.
  • The Scholarship holder is required to achieve ≥ 50% in every module/course for the scholarship award to be maintained, and obtain the degree qualification within the minimum period required of the course of study.
  • The Scholarship holder must be a good role model and serve as an ambassador to promote NAA programme outreach during the period of study and for two years after completion of the degree.

Ngee Ann Education Holdings (NAEH) Study Award

The NAEH Study Award provides financial assistance to students studying at Ngee Ann Academy. It is a monetary award based on financial need. In addition, students should have satisfactory academic results.

  • Open to Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only.
  • Academic results:
    • Polytechnic Diploma with a Grade Point Average of ≥ 3.2.
  • Good conduct with academic and/or professional supervisors’ reference/testimonial.
  • Must not be a recipient of other scholarship / sponsorship or study award.

Terms & Conditions

  • The Study Award quantum is up to S$7,500 and is offered based on the assessed level of neediness of the applicant.
  • Ceiling for per capita income: ≤ S$1,200 (e.g. Total gross household income = $4,800, Total number of household members = 4, PCI = $4,800 / 4 = $1,200).
  • The Study Award holder is required to pass every module for the Study Award award to be maintained, and obtain the degree qualification within the minimum period required of the course of study.
  • The Study Award holder must be a good role model and serve as an ambassador to promote NAA programme outreach during the period of study.

The Adelaide MBA and Adelaide GCBA have been designed with maximum flexibility to suit the needs of working professionals. Students can vary the number of courses they undertake in each term (every quarter). This gives students the option to speed up the progress of their studies.

The Adelaide MBA and Adelaide GCBA also offer multiple entry points, meaning students can apply at any time during the year to be considered for the next intake. There are four terms in each year, commencing in January, April, July and October.

All courses are delivered in an interactive, face-to-face environment conducive to adult learning, and provides learning experiences in a variety of teaching formats.

1 MBA students may choose between Systems Thinking For Management (3 units) or Negotiation Skills (3 units).

Global Learning

Student Exchange: The University of Adelaide has developed student exchange links with a number of overseas institutions in Europe and the UK. These programmes are suitable for students who wish to study overseas for a short term exchange where credits will be earned towards their University of Adelaide degree.

Inbound Semester: Students studying in NAA may wish to head over to Adelaide for a semester/trimester. Students may enrol for 3 or 4 courses, with options to select cross-disciplinary courses.

Summer School: Each year, The University of Adelaide offers a range of intensive courses that are taught during the term breaks as part of its Summer School Programme. Students are encouraged to enrol for the Summer School to accelerate their studies in an exceptional learning environment surrounded by grand old buildings and historical architecture.

There are three presentation ceremonies held in each academic year, one in Singapore and two in Adelaide, Australia. Visit www.adelaide.edu.au/student/graduations for the specific dates. Students who completed their degree have the option to opt for one of the presentation ceremonies. Degrees are presented by the Chancellor of The University of Adelaide or his representative.

Entry Requirements

Adelaide Master of Business Administration:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2 years of relevant working experience; OR
  • Applicants who have successfully completed the Adelaide GCBA

Adelaide Graduate Certificate in Business Administration:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder with minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience
  • Non-degree holder with at least 7 years of relevant working experience will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • Applicants may demonstrate that they meet the work experience and attributes via a CV, essay responses or an interview

English Language Requirements:

Applicants with a degree that was not completed in English must have a minimum IELTS of 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in any band or equivalent.

An interview with the MBA Programme Director may be required for entrance into the programme.
