Since 1916, The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business has produced exceptional leaders who meet the challenges of a changing global business environment through creative and effective solutions. In 1993, the college received a gift from alumnus Max M. Fisher, a leading industrialist, philanthropist and public servant. Mr. Fisher’s desire to see his alma mater become one of the premier management institutions in the country spearheaded the construction of a state-of-the-art, six-building campus. In recognition of his commitment, the college was named the Max M. Fisher College ofย Business. Since then, the college has undergone a corporate turnaround; narrowing the focus of its programs, recruiting leading faculty, placing a renewed emphasis on experiential learning, and offering a wide range of global opportunities. Faculty and staff have also established new scholarship and fellowship opportunities, strengthened their commitment to diversity, and created innovative academic and corporate partnerships. As a result, Fisher’s reputation continues to rise and is reflected in rankings which place the college among top business schools in the nation at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University (Fisher) offers these departments and concentrations: accounting, consulting, entrepreneurship, finance, general management, human resources management, international business, leadership, marketing, production/operations management, organizational behavior, real estate, and supply chain management/logistics. Its tuition is full-time: $30,120 per year (in-state); full-time: $53,708 per year (out-of-state); part-time: $1,594 per credit (in-state); part-time: $2,904 per credit (out-of-state); executive: $25,000 total program (in-state); and executive: $25,000 total program (out-of-state). At graduation, 70.70 percent of graduates of the full-time program are employed.
The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State UniversityโColumbus stresses the importance of personal attention. The university accepts roughly 150 MBA students each year to foster a small, flexible program within a large research institution. Each student in the MBA program follows the Fisher Triad, which guides students through academics, career tracks, and leadership and professional development. While learning some of the core functions of business, students can also select from more than 100 elective courses to narrow their focus.
Along with a full-time MBA program, the Fisher College of Business also offers a part-time MBA and an Executive MBA, as well as Ph.D. programs. Joint degrees are offered in conjunction with the Michael E. Moritz College of Law, the John Glenn School of Public Affairs, the School of Public Health, the College of Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy.
There are roughly 25 student clubs and organizations offered within the Fisher College of Business, including the International Business Club and the Finance Club. Students living near the campus in Columbus, Ohio have the option to live in Fisher Commons, the MBA programโs living-learning community for Fisher students.
There are more than 60,000 alumni worldwide spanning six continents, and some of the most notable graduates are Jeffrey W. Montie, president of Kellogg North America; Clayton Daley, chief financial officer of The Procter & Gamble Co.; and Deven Sharma, president of Standard & Poorโs.

The positive overall gains were also reflected in a number of Fisherโs academic departments and specialties. The Department of Operations and Business Analytics was ranked No. 2 nationwide, behind only the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The ranking was an improvement of three positions from the publicationโs 2021 list.
