Tuition & Fees
The cost of a college or university course is determined by the number of credit hours awarded for completing the class. Usually, one credit hour represents one hour of in-class instruction per week for 16 weeks in a specific subject. Therefore, the cost for one course is determined by multiplying the number of credit hours the class is worth by the total tuition and mandatory fees per credit hour. See the tables below for undergraduate, graduate and professional rates for residents and nonresidents.
Tuition & fees are set by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents each July and are subject to change each year.
For the 2019-2020 academic year, the estimated tuition and mandatory fees are as follows:
1st Year Tuition/Fees
Oklahoma Resident: $23,960.10
Nonresident: $43,752.10
2nd & 3rd Year Tuition/Fees
Oklahoma Resident: $24,083.70
Nonresident: $43,875.70
4th Year Tuition/Fees
Oklahoma Resident: $29,267.27
Nonresident: $54,750.36

Financial Aid
Financial aid opportunities are managed through the OU Health Sciences Center Office of Student Financial Aid. Learn more here:ย http://www.ouhsc.edu/financialservices/SFA/
It is recommended that students submit theย Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)ย when it opens on October 1st each year. A student may list up to 12 schools to receive their FAFSA information so they can submit the FAFSA without knowing their admission status. However, some aid is given on a first-come, first-served basis so it is best to submit as soon as possible.
Unlike undergraduate or graduate education, health professional program students are considered independent by the federal government and therefore do not have to include a parent’s information in order to submit the FAFSA although if they can submit a parent’s information, they may have additional aid options.
OUHSC’s Title IV Code required for the FAFSA is 005889. Please note this is different from the OU Norman code!
Scholarships & Other Resources
OUCOP is fortunate to have many endowments that provide scholarship opportunities for our current students. Thanks to the generosity of our donors we award well over half a million dollars in scholarships annually.
Students are notified annually when the COP Scholarship Application is available and all students are encouraged to submit the common application that is used by the Scholarship & Awards Committee to distribute funds.
In addition to COP scholarships, scholarship opportunities may also be available throughย OUHSCย or other sources. A popular FREE website to search for scholarships isย FastWeb.
Many students also look at alternative federal funding sources such as the military,ย U.S. Public Health Service Corps, andย Indian Health Service.
