Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University
Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is a relatively small school with an undergraduate population of 1,120 students, according to the NCES. The NCES also reports that the student-to-faculty ratio is 8 to 1. The school offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs at the associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels, although the doctoral degree programs are fairly new. Most of these degrees come from the field of healthcare, including programs in nursing, health services administration and physician assisting. The NCES recorded a 29% overall graduation rate for the school for students who began their studies in the fall of 2013.
Loyola University New Orleans
Loyola University New Orleans is a slightly larger school with 2,982 undergraduates and a student-to-faculty ratio of 12 to 1, according to the NCES. The school does not offer associate degree programs, but does have a variety of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs, as well as certificate programs. Bachelor’s degree programs are available in a wide range of fields, including business, education, history, biology, psychology and the arts. The school is part of Saint Joseph Abbey and is now the largest seminary college in the nation, according to the school’s webpage. Its small student population allows for a small student-to-faculty ratio of 8 to 1, according to the NCES. Since it is a seminary college, the most common bachelor’s degree programs are in Christian studies, philosophy and religious studies. The NCES reports the overall graduate rate for the school as 64% for students who began their studies in 2013.
University of Holy Cross
The NCES states that the University of Holy Cross has 923 undergraduate students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 10 to 1.
