US News & World Report has placed QUB at 306th position for 2021 in its global universities ranking. A popular UK ranking publisher, The Complete University Guide has placed QUB under the top 50 higher institutes in the UK since 2017. It has ranked QUB at the 27th position for 2021. Queen’s University is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The campus is in the city of Kingston and is equidistant from our two big cities Montreal and Toronto. There are many tours of the campus which include Open Houses for prospective students. Awards made automatically to new international students who are normally resident in Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia or Zimbabwe on enrolment.

  • Year one award of £2500 (fee rate 1)
  • Year one award of £3000 (fee rate 2)
  • Includes advanced entry into Year 2 or Year 3
  • No application necessary

Queen’s offers lower tuition fees and living expenses than many other similarly well-regarded universities in the United Kingdom. The fees you will pay will vary depending on the course you choose and the level of study.

For new international students registering in 2022/23, undergraduate course fees range between £17,900 (US$23,834) and £34,100 (US$46,462) a year depending on your course. Postgraduate courses cost between £18,200 (US$25,100) and £26,250 (US$36,193) a year.

There are a number of country-specific and broader scholarships available to international students.

For new undergraduate applicants we offer the  International Office Undergraduate Scholarship .

Applicants who have previously completed a Study Abroad or exchange programme can apply for the  Queen’s Loyalty Scholarship .

If your parents, grandparents or siblings are currently studying or completed a full degree programme at the Belfast campus you can apply for the  Queen’s Family Scholarship .

The  Vice Chancellor’s International Attainment Scholarship   offers four awards for undergraduate applicants. 

Where eligible, the  Early Confirmation Award  can be combined with another International Office administered scholarship to increase the value of your award.
