Henderson, Nevada is home to Roseman University of Health Sciences, a non-profit institution of higher education with a concentration on medical care. It also has a campus in South Jordan, which is located in Utah. It was first known as the Nevada College of Pharmacy and the University of Southern Nevada when it was established in the year 2001 by its namesake, Dr. Harry Rosenberg, who also served as the institution’s first president.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, and a Master of Business Administration degree are all available to students at this institution. Students at Roseman University participate in a novel learning format known as the block system, which allows them to concentrate on a single subject at a time.

The names Rosenberg, who serves as president of the university, and Dr. Renee Coffman, who serves as dean of the Pharmacy School, were combined to create the name of the school.

Name

The name of the institution is a portmanteau of the names of university president Rosenberg and Pharmacy School dean Dr. Renee Coffman.

Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy is a private, non-profit institution that was founded in 1999. The College is fully accredited by ACPE. We have campuses located in Henderson, NV and South Jordan, UT.

The College offers a three year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program as well as a dual PharmD/MBA degree. Our block curriculum allows you to focus on one core subject at a time. In order to be eligible for admission to the PharmD program, applicants must:

  • Complete 60 Semester Hours:

Complete a minimum of 60 semester credit hours (90 quarter hours) of study at an accredited college or university in the United States or its equivalent abroad.

  • GPA of at least 2.8 out of 4.0

Achieve at least a cumulative grade point average of 2.8/4.0.

  • C on Science and Math and B on English and Communications classes

Receive a grade of “C” (or its equivalent) or better in all science and math prerequisite courses and a grade of “B” or better in English Composition I and Speech/Communications.

  • Complete the PharmCas application and Roseman’s supplemental application by deadlines.

All applicants that meet the minimum criteria will have their file evaluated. The file evaluation process will be competitive and the most competitive applicants will be invited for an on-campus interview.

Applicants must complete any five (5) of the science/math prerequisites listed below by December 31st of the year before enrollment and all ten (10) prerequisites must be completed by the time of enrollment in August.

  • Applicants may not disregard any part of their college-level educational history. An applicant who fails to report all institutions attended will forfeit his/her eligibility for admission to the University or will be dismissed. All credentials submitted for admission to Roseman University of Health Sciences become the property of the University and will not be returned or released.
