The South University Columbia School of Pharmacy is a private, non-profit institution that offers a variety of academic programs for students looking to pursue a career in pharmacy. The school was founded in 1986, and it has been providing students with quality education ever since.
The school offers an accelerated bachelor’s degree program that can be completed in just four years. In addition, there is an option to take classes online or on campus at the main campus located in Columbia, SC.

How to apply
We make the application process as smooth as possible so you can start earning your degree right away. Our admissions representatives will guide you through our three step process.

- An admissions representative will review our degree programs with you, give you an overview of the admissions process, and help you complete the application process. You can take a guided tour of our campus or a virtual tour online. APPLY NOW
- A Finance Counselor will work with you to discuss options and qualifications and to develop a payment plan that works for you. Programs with alternative application procedures.
The following South University programs have separate and specific application processes. Please review the program’s admission and application procedures prior to submitting an application. Applications submitted directly through the online application system will not be processed.
Doctor of Pharmacy:
Doctor of Pharmacy Program Admission to the South University School of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy accelerated three-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree program, offered in Savannah, Georgia, is extremely competitive. This past year, the University had more than 500 applications for approximately 90 available slots. South University utilizes the PharmCAS system for applications. All transcripts, letters of recommendation, and PCAT scores should be sent directly to PharmCAS. Direct applications to South University will not be processed. Anesthesiologist Assistant:
Anesthesiologist Assistant Program Admission to the South University Anesthesiologist Assistant Program that leads to a Master of Medical Science in Anesthesia Science is competitive. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program Application Process on the admission page prior to completing any application here.
Physician Assistant:
Physician Assistant Program South University’s Physician Assistant program offered in Savannah, Georgia and Tampa, Florida participates with the Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). The CASPA application process requires submission of scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and transcripts.
